  1. the pump control unit is that a blue box?
  2. but i have swoped out wiring harnesses, there, so wouldnt that be the same?
  3. ok, yea i pulled the blue box out of my parts car, and still no luck, i hace a webber carb,
  4. jsut to make sure, what does the FPCU look like and where,? is it under the kick panel and blue?
  5. so there isnt one under the hood? i dont think models would change that much, there is the one by the gas tank, like you were saying ealier, but nothin else that i can find
  6. i been kind of doin that all day, i even swoped out wiring harness and got new relays, where is the one under the hood your talkin bout?
  7. so is there one under the hood or.. not, does yours run normally, or did you rig a switch to it? mine dont run, only 3 volts are at the pump, and i thought there was a bad relay but none that i find are bad, so.... i need help, whats wrong with this?

  9. no, your wrong, you hook 12 volts up and it will run but loud, if it works properly it dont make noise, DUH
  10. what is the voltage at the fuel pump suspost to be??

  12. is the self adjusting carb on there or did you put a manual adjusting one, i had the same problem, it was like it wouldnt tune right so i put a manual adjusting carb and its better now.

OK yes under the pass seat are 2 relays, one is burned up, well the ground wire is all the way threw the wiring harness, should i swop it out with the other wiring harness and risk it happening again? or what caused it to get that hot and melt the wire threw the wiring harnes and melt the tape?
  14. Im pretty sure it can, it might take a lil bit of money and time, but id say it would be worth it, if i was doin it which i want to, i would lift it to, 3" in the front and 4" in the back,
  15. i did after i put in the second one, and there isnt any, but the wire harness goes threw the inside of the car dont it and then ill have to like take apart the whole interier wont i?
  16. my fuel pump doent run, i switched it out with another one and still no good, so i dont know what the problem is? anyone got ideas?
  17. not vary hard to replace cv joints, just gets agervating when it wont goin in the damn hole, just put some anti seez, and it will slip in a lil better.
  18. 1983 5sp, subaru GL 1800, the hill holder is awsome but is it only spost to work when you stop on an up grade hill? it does its awsome, but it dont work goin down a hill? its no problem, i just thought it should work both ways? do i have it adjusted wrong? just wondering
  19. yea i did a compression test, it reads lower then the others, other 3 are in the 125 to 130 range, and the 4th is 90, yes it could be the valves but i dont know how to tell,
  20. I put a toggle switch for my fuel pump, replaced it and still didnt work so i just solved my problem by putting a switch to it. works great
  21. how much lift you got there?
  22. I just swoped tansmissions in mine and the only and easy way i found was using the alignment tool for the clutch and pulling it out and trying to match the marks on the tranny with whats in the clutch, if thats what your askin?
  23. i have a 83' subaru 1800, i need a new ring and want to know if i should rebuild the whole engine or just replace that one ring? the only way is to split the block, right?
  24. I have an 1983 subaru, GL 1800 does anyone know what the compression should be?
