Even with a stock sammy t-case there is some reduction in high range. Worked great in my old 84 wagon.

Im running a Harbor freight 8000lb. Its the same thing as a MM only cheaper. Its a bit overkill.

flipping ring gear/ differential??
Subadoom replied to Frank B's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I had thought of that so i took apart a 5 speed D/R. There is no way to flip the diff in the tranny that i could see. If some one dose I would like to know how. -
I have a HF 8000# for my wagon. i got it 2 years ago and it hasnt failed me yet. its slow but works great. It picked my sprint straight up a tree on the third winding. its way more than you will ever need for a subaru.

There is one in ashland that looks like it would be tons of fun. I think a justy would be great for wheeling. We took sprint off roading and it did alot better than we thought it would. and its only 2wd.-Robert
