  1. Hey yall, heres the dealio. I have a Gen 1 brat with this type pf bumper, I know its like a factory/dealer option or something, and I really like it http://www.indysworld.com/80s/general/pushbar/gen1-full.jpg BUT, someone cut the headlight gaurd hoop off mine, and I want to rebuild it. I am asking if someone who has one of these bumpers (Moosens, I know you have one ) could take a couple measurements so I can rebuild mine. I need to know: -the distance to centerline of the hoop where it attaches at the sides from the end of the bumper -the distance between the centerlines of where the hoop attaches to the bumper -the distance to centerline of the hoop from the front and back of the bumper -the diameter and a guesstimate of the thickness of the wall tubing used to make the hoop maybe a pic with the dimensions marked would be the best way? Thanks in advance! Oh, this will be on a Brat of mine that will be given a restoration of sorts, with a few of the factory options like high roll bar, winch, and Jackman wheels, and cranked up a little higher than stock. It will be the one on the right as it has less major rust. Both will be revived eventually though -Bill
  2. LOL Thats about the last thing shes gonna do with this Brat This one's stayin in my family -Bill
  3. Ah, I see... I think Im going to swap out her tranny and put the one from My Brat in it, she wants better fuel economy and I want to be able to run bigger tires easier -Bill
  4. The Jackmans will fit any 4x140mm Subaru vehicles, because the spokes are close to flat, not curved like the factory wagon wheels. Carfreak, actually I got these as part of a deal I made on a Gen 1 Brat for my mom -Bill
  5. For sure! They are kind of crusty right now, but 2 look like theyve been poder coated back in the early 80's, can barely make out the "J" emblem on the spoke. Im thinking of running them inside out so the wheel base will be wider -Bill
  6. Welcome to tha board! Careful now though, these things are addictive...Im up to 16 in my collection -Bill
  7. Nope, same size tires on both rigs, 175/70 R-13. -Bill
  8. I now have a full set of 5 13" Jackman spoke wheels So the other 2 I was kinda half a$$ trying to sell are no longer for sale, Im gonna blast and powder coat this set and run them on one of my Gen 1 Brats, or possibly a Gen 1 4wd wagon, but prolly a Brat. Mwahahaaaaa -Bill
  9. Hey all, my mom just bought a 81 Brat with a D/R 4 speed and EA81. Ive driven a few Brats in my time but this one seems to have lower gears than the others, it is revving 3000 RPM going 55mph in 4th where as the D/R 4 speed in my 85 Brat revs a little over 2500 RPM going the same speed. Did the 81 Brats with D/R come with 4.111 gears or do they just have a closer 1-4 gear set? -Bill
  10. Yeah some Turbo cars have them under the hood, others have them under the dash. I had to really dig for the ones in my RX cuz they were tucked up into the harness under the dash That is a good lookin rig, just needs that dent fixed on the fender -Bill
  11. Did you have enough clearance with the 4" kit? -Bill
  12. I hate you. Thats like the twin to mine, but you paid less and got a better shape rig Nice score man! -Bill
  13. If they are true Gen 1 Brat Jackman wheels with the "J" stamped in them, they will fit. BUT, if they are just EA81 wagon spoke wheels they will NOT fit, no way no how. Some EA81 steelies will fit, but others wont. -Bill
  14. If you are looking for affordable and durable, I think you will like what I have to offer... PM me if you wanna come down some time -Bill
  15. You want a 32/36 DGV Weber carb. Also, if you're lookin for a lift, stop by my place sometime if you're ever down in the Yakima Valley... -Bill
  16. IIRC, EA81 and EA82 steering wheel hubs had different tapers and/or splines, so no, EA81 wheel wont fit EA82 steering column. -Bill
  17. Hey Robbie, I have 1 of those Les Schwab 13" wheels if you want a matching spare, its not as pretty as yours but if you want it just find something to trade for it, otherwise its gonna be my spare for the Brat. Coupe looks good! -Bill
  18. I like the way you did it a lot better, the colors contrast perfectly and it ties it into your dark interior very well. -Bill
  19. That looks pretty trick man! Where's the Mullet Headbang smiley when you need it :mulletbang: -Bill
  20. If the hole has threads in it, find a bolt that fits and put some RTV silicone on it and stick it in there. To me it looks like a boss that some kind of bracket was supposed to bolt to, and someone may have put too long a bolt in there and it penetrated the waterjacket. -Bill
  21. Best time for me would be before 12 or around 7 or 8 in the evening, I dont know yet what Ill be doing in the day, but Ill prolly be around -Bill
