  1. I now have a full set of 5 13" Jackman spoke wheels So the other 2 I was kinda half a$$ trying to sell are no longer for sale, Im gonna blast and powder coat this set and run them on one of my Gen 1 Brats, or possibly a Gen 1 4wd wagon, but prolly a Brat. Mwahahaaaaa -Bill
  2. Hey all, my mom just bought a 81 Brat with a D/R 4 speed and EA81. Ive driven a few Brats in my time but this one seems to have lower gears than the others, it is revving 3000 RPM going 55mph in 4th where as the D/R 4 speed in my 85 Brat revs a little over 2500 RPM going the same speed. Did the 81 Brats with D/R come with 4.111 gears or do they just have a closer 1-4 gear set? -Bill
  3. Yeah some Turbo cars have them under the hood, others have them under the dash. I had to really dig for the ones in my RX cuz they were tucked up into the harness under the dash That is a good lookin rig, just needs that dent fixed on the fender -Bill
  4. Did you have enough clearance with the 4" kit? -Bill
  5. I hate you. Thats like the twin to mine, but you paid less and got a better shape rig Nice score man! -Bill
  6. If they are true Gen 1 Brat Jackman wheels with the "J" stamped in them, they will fit. BUT, if they are just EA81 wagon spoke wheels they will NOT fit, no way no how. Some EA81 steelies will fit, but others wont. -Bill
  7. If you are looking for affordable and durable, I think you will like what I have to offer... PM me if you wanna come down some time -Bill
  8. You want a 32/36 DGV Weber carb. Also, if you're lookin for a lift, stop by my place sometime if you're ever down in the Yakima Valley... -Bill
  9. IIRC, EA81 and EA82 steering wheel hubs had different tapers and/or splines, so no, EA81 wheel wont fit EA82 steering column. -Bill
  10. Hey Robbie, I have 1 of those Les Schwab 13" wheels if you want a matching spare, its not as pretty as yours but if you want it just find something to trade for it, otherwise its gonna be my spare for the Brat. Coupe looks good! -Bill
  11. I like the way you did it a lot better, the colors contrast perfectly and it ties it into your dark interior very well. -Bill
  12. That looks pretty trick man! Where's the Mullet Headbang smiley when you need it :mulletbang: -Bill
  13. If the hole has threads in it, find a bolt that fits and put some RTV silicone on it and stick it in there. To me it looks like a boss that some kind of bracket was supposed to bolt to, and someone may have put too long a bolt in there and it penetrated the waterjacket. -Bill
  14. Best time for me would be before 12 or around 7 or 8 in the evening, I dont know yet what Ill be doing in the day, but Ill prolly be around -Bill
  15. Oh that... Well when i bought it for 100 bucks, it had almost 700,000 miles on it (no joke ) and it was overall a piece of crap. I had intentions of fixing it up and driving it, and for a while I had some real nice body panels on it covering up the enormous rust holes that you could throw a football through (also not a joke ), so I stripped it of anything that was worth anything to me (except the rear diff, the front end was f'd up, so it was RWD when it left me) and sold it for 400 bucks like that It was supposed to be in a Subaru commercial but, alas, it never was Back on topic, I might need a set of those stripes in Black, but without the "4 wheel drive" on them. -Bill
  16. Oh and just for the record, the small font after it says "Subaru" reads "4-wheel drive" -Bill
  17. My first Brat had those lower stripes, I have a pic too! -Bill
  18. Nice steal man! Gotta love simple fixes to seemingly bad problems -Bill
  19. the pistons are different too I believe, Im sure there are more differences than you think... the block might be the same or close, but I have no real clue there... -Bill
  20. Yeah, forgot about the timing... You'd have to swap in the engine control modula from the carbed car too, that might get a little hairy, the 5 wires that go into it go all over the harness, but if you have diagrams you can figure it out. If the Turbo has digidash, then you just opened a whole 'nuther can of worms BTW, I have both those digi dashes pulled from those wagons, if you are interested let me know, ones green and ones orange and they both work  -Bill
  21. Well I ran out of money and gas in the RX, and the Brat still had a half a tank from the trip home... SO I replaced the entire front suspension with parts off another car, then addressed other little issues, like no high beams, broken latch on the Passenger T top, wrong size tires, etc., slapped on my Other set of Calmasters () and im driving it! Its really, really ghetto rigged right now, but I just needed it to work, all the mechanicals were done the right way though so it is safe to drive. Pics to come, its raining here right now... -Bill
