  1. well i have a wrecked 1991 spifi Loyale thats sitting in my back yard runs well but has blown head gaskets could i use that fuel system on my braT?
  2. i know i need a FSM xD i have a chilton but its for 85 and newer haha so were do i find a non feedback hitachi (what years did they come on) i inspected the vacuum lines but found non that are split or had any defects... i guess i gotta get my 4door turbo rx running but from what ive herd u have to have a ton of patience to get a ea82t running right... haha O.o or how much does a weber kit run new/ used. this brat needs to other than gas milage it runs very well no misses runs very smooth it's actually the best running subaru ive ever owned... i just dont know what to do
  3. so what should i check... take the aircleaner housing off and look/change all vacuum line and what else?
  4. if my carb is feedback could this be the problem? im getting 18MPG and a throttle lag.... theres a solinoide of some sorts that has a broken wire.... i removed the little valve that was in it because of this... My dad played with the screw in the second hole pictured i have it 3/4 of a turn out what should it be...
  5. whats the screw on the front of the carb supose to be set at... i found out my dad played with it will i was getting tools maybe thats why i have the bog its set at 3/4 of a turn out...
  6. installed new vacuum advace can still have the bog at the hit of the throttle.... accellpump looks kinda weak could that be my problem and im only getting 18MPG......
  7. i put a expansion tank from a 1991 loyale on my 83 brat and since then ive i noticed i get bubbles in the expansion tank when the cars running and high pressure in the cooling system what could this be... the car doesnt overheat it runs at i would assume normal temp (the second mark on the gauge) about half way and the fan kicks on.. theres no coolant comming out the exhaust that i can tell it doesnt steam or anything... this brat is turning out to be a bad idea to buy haha or then again it could benormal im a toyota person but i moved to subaru to get gas milage
  8. took ur advice put the timming ahead to 9 1/2 degrees it went away a little bit i guess i gotta wait and see if the vacuum advance can will fix the problem...
  9. got the last NOS one in the world apparently through subaru..... wont be here till thrusday should i put the timming ahead though?

  11. also vacumm advance can is bad and disconnected maybe that is adding to the issue
  12. checked the timing im running at 5 degrees adavance is that the problem do i need to advance it somemore
  13. its stock so i assume hitachi... although how do i tell im new to the carb subarus
  14. poped the air cleaner top off and pumped the throttle and i could see gas squirt in so jet maybe? or accel pump is going south maybe....
  15. second thing is when ur under the hood with it idling and u pop the throttle it dies off then goes and its very annoying
  16. change the fuel pump out becuase the old one wasnt pumping well new one in and it idles and drive like a dream but...... now i have a lag in the throttle like when im leaveing a light or shifting gears theres a pause what is this caused by??????
  17. well i bought the last vacuum advance can in the us aparently through subaru today it costed 60 bucks O.o and cool the only rust on the car that i can find is in the rockers but i wonder how much it would cost around here for rockers to get made lol
  18. anyone repoping rocker panels for the brats or do i have to cutom make them or find a donor? and the Vacuum advance canaster is anyone repoping those either?
  19. 2006 impeza was clunking in 3rd gear and i steped on the gas to accelerate and it started making very very loud clunking in all gears now. does anyone know what this could be need to know asap.... car only has 35,000 miles......... driven very lightly nothing crazy
  20. the car picked up a very mushy pedel a week ago i bled the brakes completeely and it's still mushy is this the master cylinder?
  21. Heat works great, warms up fast, gets 25mpg (About average for everyone else i assume?). i was just wondering if it was abnormal
  22. the gauge goes up to 1/3 then goes back down to right above the cold mark making me think that the thermostat is working, i did check it and it does have a thermostat
  23. Drove the car for over 50 miles and this is as hot as it gets. Why would it be running this cool or is this normal for a EA82? Just curious if i should get a new thermostat or if this is ok... also is that good oil pressure at idle for 181,xxx miles on a original oil pump?
