Why was this moved? It is nothing but offroading pics! I put it in the offroading forum to show our wheeling trip. There is already a link to these pics in the columbus meet thread, And I was wanting to share them with the rest of the community in the offroading thread......:-\ Any how, it was a good time, and I have a few more to load up. I will work on it today. -
here is the link to the alliance meet over memorial day. I will add more pics soon. We went wheeling near Zanesville, oh. The owner of the property (tony) and our trails boss 4x4chevette(Donny) were great. I couldnt have asked for a better host. The cars that wheeled are: blue wagon-me black sedan-Miles fox white sedan-ed white wagon-Jim woods trashwagon6-Danny And the bad luck award who goes to Jim Morris, who blew out a ball joint, and a strut before we even hit the trails, but also scored a nice 87 d/r wagon from a local for a few bills. http://photobucket.com/albums/v469/tonysmudbog/3rd%20Annual%20Subaru%20Alliance%20Meet

Great pics Donny! I would personally like to thank yourself, and Tony for allowing us to come out and wheel on your park. We all had a great time and if I am ever in the area and you need help out there let me know. The trails were great, and you did an awesome job of trail bossing for us as well as providing the recovery for the stuck subes. You are a great guy, and I hope we can continue to stay in touch. I hope some of the guys there realised what these little cars are capable of (although I know there are a few who still hate them). I cant thank you enough for your patience and hospitality. -Jason

cool, well I guess everyone is bailing. We should still have at least 4-5 cars though. I am excited.

I am bringing my tool kit, it has pretty much everything we would need for trouble. I would advise everyone to bring a spare axle, and some misc hoses, and things. These trails are rough and from what I heard if it rains they are VERY slick. Pack some food and lots of water. If anyone has a chain saw that would be good, or at least an ax. I think I have one but I dont know where it is. Feel free to bring your kids, I am bringing my son.

Your grilling wasn't that bad. It was still good enough I ate three burgers.
-
I am not sure about having a local store, but you can bring beers, and have fires. BTW THE SUNDAY TIME HAS BEEN CHANGED TO NOON (12:00)! this will a lot more time to clean up in the morning.
-
] ATTN: everyone this is the guy hosting the offroad park for us. He will be at the meet.
-
Im there, Ill have some misc parts as well(old trans, diff, struts, shifter, etc...)
-
Does anyone off hand know how much a 3.7 diff weighs off of a gl wagon? Thanks. I guessed 40 pounds.
-
Good luck dood. Ill look forward to seeing you at thye meet. BTW john and I are getting together next weekend for some final mods if you can make it. I am sure the trash sedan needs something.

I have been toying with the idea of getting my block "o-ringed". Basically they take the block and counter bore a ring around the cylinder about .030" deep then insert a metal o-ring on it before mounting the head. I know the diesel engines have been doing it to run Huge boost levels(over 100 psi) and they say it will never blow a H/G unless the heads push off the block. I think that could be fixed with some ARP heads studs though. -
Cool, I have been getting worried as well, but if I have to I just wont pay some bills. Bills just dont matter anymore when your credit score is 540. I make $1600 a month to fend for a family of 4, I am the only one who works, and yet we still try to live like when we were making 4k a month. Go figure. I am glad you now have some fundage Miles.
