  1. Did it improve your gas mileage?
  2. Did you use to live in ne pa? I see gary & jeff all the time, I'll tell them you said hi. I hope to make it to the shootout, the other day my turbo started screaming during positive boost, now I'm scouring the junk yards for a turbo. My only snag is, my turbo is the original "oil cooled only" & I don't know what the setup was like for addition of water on an ea81t? Subaru said the plumbing upgrade is no longer available. If anyone could sell me plumbing setup or a good oil cooled only turbo or send me pictures of setup, I am in desperate need, the shootout is only 11 days away. My car still has good power, its just embarassing.
  3. 1 of our Australian members has lifted his Legacy, I cant remember his user name. It might be archived in old generation. It looked really cool.
  4. Thanks for your reply's, I'm sure I'll have more question when I start tearing her down. I'll post some pictures soon!
  5. I just bought 1992 Legacy Sport Sedan $100.00, 167,000 miles, no rust. But won't start, there is coolant on all plugs. Did compression test. Drivers side...110 & 140, Passenger side...130 & 140. Does anyone know how many lbs of pressure the ej22t should have? The guy I bought it from said, he thought it had blown head gaskets or warped heads. He is not mechanically able to do work himself & didn't want to put more money into car. I seen TheOtherSkip's info on head gasket replacement & that will be very helpful, because my only experience with Subaru engines is ea81. Any help with this project is greatly appreciated! Thanks
  6. Got her running, had coil wires messed up. Skip thanks for your replies. Skip, how you doing with the fabrication of the cat backs?
  7. I live in Northumberland, PA 1/2 hour from track & about 8 blocks away from dealership that sponsors the event. If anyone coming from North or East wants to convoy down, let me know.
  8. Skip....thats all right, other members call me stup....my name is Jay...my cars name is Stupidru....appropriately named because nothing is easy when troubleshooting this thing. I'll try what you suggested. As far as other hook-ups, I have incoming fuel line connected to the port closest to the firewall side of fuel rail, is this the right port? And as far as coil wire hook-ups, I have all yellow wires on negative side, the other four "3 black & 1 thick grey wires" are on postive side. Is this correct? Other ea81t owners please help with this, I'd like to get her on the road soon. Thanks, Jay (stup)
  9. Had engine out of ea81t, to reseal & fix lifter problems. Now she turns over but won't start. I'm getting spark, I'm getting fuel after fuel filter, but it seems I'm not getting fuel to the injectors. I sprayed starting fluid on air filter & she started and ran smooth for 5 seconds. How can I trouble shoot this, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. she's been down for over a month now.
