That’s great, you guys truly are The Subaru Alliance. Where was TheTravelingSubaruShow a couple of years ago, I could have used your assistance. It's really nice that you guys give your time & skills like that. Its rare that people will give without expecting anything in return, you guys should be commended.

- Road Trip II: TrashWagon's RETURN
Tim, I hope you realize, you'll be a Subaru Freak by the time you return home! Once a Subaru Freak, always a Subaru Freak! You have a great cast of characters! Have fun....I want to see this Documentary on HBO!- NO compression in one cylinder?
I'm a ea81t & ej22t guy. I never had an ea82t apart. I would ask skip, he seems to know a great deal about ea82t's. Like Archie said, it could be timing, I hate to see you take head off if you don't need to.- NO compression in one cylinder?
What car are you having trouble with, the 90, 87, or 84?- NO compression in one cylinder?
If stuck valve is truely the issue, a bad valve seat or bad lifter/lash adjuster is likely the culprit.- NO compression in one cylinder?
seldom does a cyl read 0, sounds like your intake valve is stuck open.- ea81T/ea82T injectors... (added pics 2/22/04) and another oddity/question
There is an o-ring in the fuel port on the head, could that be dry rotted? Subaru still has the o-rings in stock.- ea81T/ea82T injectors... (added pics 2/22/04) and another oddity/question
I have the white in my ea81t, Man...no wonder your having fuel issues Mick. These turbo pushrod engines are totally different beasts, ya know?- head gasket: oem vs. felpro?
Unless your planning to remove engine than there is no need to buy full kit. Although sloopy work with engine in car, a head gasket job can be done. You'll only need a few gaskets if performing job w/ engine in. I only use Subaru Gasket: 1. I only live 8 blocks away from dealer 2. Gaskets are not much more $ than aftermarket. 3. Turbo applications are different & local aftermarket store always want to give me N/A- Anybody in East Guatemala

Cole, you got mail! I'm selling my 2 turbo cars, just tired of looking at them, need a change, there both waiting for tax returns! So I'll be looking for a different SOOB soon. Is turbo brat worth looking at? Jay- Overpriced Junk Yards Yuck
Cole, Where is this place! I need to check out the turbo brat before the vultures swoop in. Jay- 3at -> 4at
Eventually I will convert to pushbutton on-the-fly 5speed. This is the best performance mod I can give this old turbo pushrod engine!- Unidentified EA81T part....
Mick, Post a picture, if I don't know, a friend of mine has work at W&L subaru for 25 years, he'll know. You got the digidash? no fair! Jay- 3at -> 4at
Cool, we don't have many NA xt owners on the board. Welcome! My neighbor has one w/ a rice muffler on his, you can hear him coming 2 blocks away, you can tell its a subaru, they all have a distinct sound, even the new ones. I feel your pain, my ea81t has an 3at, it really holds the car back!- Overpriced Junk Yards Yuck
I stick w/ small JY, they appreciate the business. There a ton of them in central PA. Harry's is over-rated! Alex, did you ever see all the beer cans in the yard cars, drinking on the job is one of there bennies.- Road Trip II: TrashWagon's RETURN
Yeah, like no rubber chickens! Although take some bowling pins incase you need to perform a juggling act!- ea81T/ea82T injectors... (added pics 2/22/04) and another oddity/question
Mick, A regular non-turbo xt has same injectors, I believe their is a few more applications, but I can't remember which ones. Go to partsamerica.com & cross part #'s. Subaru still has them in-stock but there really expensive, if I remember correctly they were like, $125ish. If you have trouble finding some, I know of an old NA XT in a friends JY, but I'd have to pull it myself. That I will not do until weather breaks. These injectors are (all-in-one) the hoses are permanently connected to the injector & its a PITA to get hoses off the fuel rail being careful not to slit hose. BTW whats wrong with your injectors? Jay- Road Trip II: TrashWagon's RETURN
I was wondering how long it would take you to go get it. Give us some good drama, Miles! Can't wait to here the stories.- Portland Meet and Greet Photos
Cool picture, here in icey north east, we have salted roads all winter long! I usually take car for a good run in the rain, if no rain in site I hit the car wash. An 84 subaru can disintegrate in one or two winters if you don't do salt maintenance. - Road Trip II: TrashWagon's RETURN
