  1. Joe & I were doin the same on I way back to "no-man's-land PA"....we were turning some heads....twin cosmic blue 84 wagons doin 75-80. That is an awesome 70's wagon Moose....I haven't seen one of those on the road in years.....glad to hear you made it back to ct safe & sound.
  2. Do you want us to bring anything like burger/dogs or munches....soda........?
  3. Dennis...have you tried a bottle of Chevron w/ Techron fuel injection cleaner....it works! It last for maybe 5 or 6 fill-ups....then I dump another bottle in. It improves my gas mileage by about 3 or 4 miles a gallon. It goes from 200-225 miles a tank to 250-275. Its cheap too...only 4 buck a bottle. The other week I was in Auto Zone & they had Chev W/Tech for a dollar a bottle. I bought every bottle on the discount table.
  4. My dead lifter episode had no noise associated w/ it. The lifter simply would not hold pressure any longer. Subaru mechanics stand by their lifters, when I tell that story; they say impossible. They say did you run the engine at high rpm's for at least a mile to pump it back-up. No I didn't, well there ya go, it's not dead. OK...whatever! All I know is when I put different lifter in, I got even compression. Jay....manually pump those lifters before you put them in.
  5. I can't believe 1 of you wild west fellers haven't bought that tcoupe yet. In the east it would have been gone in the 1st week.
  6. Dude...that brat is in awesome shape! If you were just recently tinkering w/ hoses, they probably just need to be clamped down tighter. Every time I've had hoses off, I always had to go back days, weeks or months later to tighten the hose clamps cuz coolant was leaking.
  7. Jay this sound exactly the problem I had on my ea81t. & a lifter did fall on the floor on the weak cyl....I put money on lash adjusters....drive car in 2nd gear at very high rpm's for a 1/2 mile or so, to pump lifters back up. If engine is apart, try manually pumping lifters back up in oil bath. If that doesn't work replace adjusters on that side. The jy lifter I got was already pumped up, but from sitting it wouldn't budge. I let the jy lifter bleed down over night before starting car.
  8. Nice car Rob! I seen a black RX in a jy recently...do you want that vin corky?
  9. Moose this happened to me just recently, turned out my crossover pipe had rattled loose. It seems like lifters are starving for oil, but thats the actual sold of engine without exault pipes....wierd. Clamped her down, good as gold.
  10. Ohhh....not much...penny for your thoughts.
  11. Is this what you wanted to say Miles.
  12. Dave, I'm bringing the same car I brought to the shootout last year 84 ea81twagon. When did you get your brat, what kinda shape is it in?
  13. Tim captured some of the drama.
  14. I was a freshman in highschool in 79. My favorite t-shirt was blue w/ rainbow lettering & a big maryjane leaf that read "High Times".....cool.....TerryCloth has made a comeback....dynomite!
  15. 91loyale..."bump" is a dance from the "70's" when 2 or more people bump there hips together to the beat of the music.
  16. Why don't you just say what you mean Miles....I can take it.
  17. Mick, I didn't know you did decal work. I think this couple is just getting started in business...she seemed really eager...so you could probably get good prices for the time being.
  18. Northguy...I posted there phone #, if anyone wants to inquire. If someone needs me to follow-up on something they have already inquired about, I'm willing to help. They are in Muncy PA, about 20 miles north of me.
