I found a company locally that does reasonable priced decals. The company is called JP Auto Grafix 570-777-2672. I met Lindsey at Maaco, when I was getting an estimate for a paint job. The maaco guy asked me about the dacals, I said yeah if you can find ones like it. Just then this girl pulls up in a VW Golf...all decaled out. She said $15 a side. Here are some shots of my old decals. http://home.ptd.net/~mjseidel/1.jpg http://home.ptd.net/~mjseidel/2.jpg I got her business card & said at prices like this, I have plenty of customers for her & her husband. I haven't seen any of there work yet though.

Good one bluetrain....I think I pissed him off when I passed him cuz then he immediately passed me, then the chase was on. I followed him at 80-90 mph for about 20 miles, then I passed him & thats when I cut-out. It was fun doing 90 not worrying about speeding.

Oh...I wasn't aware of that. Come to think of it, sometime when I start the car I'll see a light flash under the tach, but I think it said STOP lamp, I thought a bulb was going out. I'll flush & change oil first...if that doesn't do it I'll check-out the pump. Thanks guys.

Need 1988 GL-10 Turbo Advice (Turbo Itself)
Stupidru replied to mtsfabman's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
ea82t have slightly bigger turbo than ea81t...not much performance gain. Lagacy turbo is bigger but you'll have to modify turbo to tb tubing. -
GD....how will I know if pump is bad, what should I look for? My ea81t has an analog dash with no OP idiot light.
-
The reason I'm thinking flush is...what if a chunk of gasket got caught in oil feed line to turbo? What do you think?
-
I was thinking that too. When I replaced dead lifter last year I installed a regular ea81 head gasket. parts of the gasket hung down into oil passage. Any recommendations on flush ect......................?
-
Ea81t's don't have oil pressure gauges, it has a turbo gauge, so its tuff to tell. How do I get a reading without a gauge?
-
I was toying w/ a Pontiac Aztec on the Interstate yesterday, we were doing about 90 mph. All of the sudden rpm's just gave out, like a govenor switch was activated. I don't think these ea81t's have govenors, do they? Anyway after the cut-out the lifters started rapping & the turbo screams at positive boost. What happened? Did my oil pump take a crap. I still have power, its begging for oil though. Has this happened to anyone? I hope I can get it right before Carlisle. HELP............Oh, by the way, a bottle of octane boost on top of 93 does wonders for accelerations.

Who's car is who's....I know some of them but not all. Dave, we finally get to see your tbrat, looks like its in good shape. Eyesore, nice paintjob on your wagon, the only pics I've seen was the primer ones...a friend of mine did his 85 nissan pickup in camo. -
A friend replaced head gaskets on his xt6, but he went silicone crazy. Now the silicone broke loose & is clogging the oil ports. Has anyone had any success with oil additives to break the silicone loose. This happened to me back 10 years ago, I ended up taking heads back off to clean-up my mess. He already replaced the oil pump to no avail.
