  1. I'm okay with using it as a parts car because I have a Turbo Legacy waiting in the wings (once we get the downpipe and a couple of other misc. parts.) So, I'm not terribly attached to the car. I told the guy that I had a leaky trunk anyhow and was planning to fix it anyway, and he just laughed. He wasn't a jerk, so no one should really be talking bad about him. He did try his best to miss me which is why the damage is isolated to the left side of the car only. Him: Me:
  2. Obviously isn't the one you saw, but you could buy this one that I found on CL! http://portland.craigslist.org/clc/car/474442490.html
  3. I don't punch, I use really strong words and legal jargon *_* Sorry dude, only got room for one man and his cars in my life, lol
  4. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone that helped in any way with #8. This was only my second show and I had a great time! I must say I think you all did a terrific job. And to all the sponsors, thanks for sponsoring, without sponsors, things aren't as cool! I enjoyed it a lot and I can't wait for next year! Bring on that mud!!!
  5. Well you got a better deal than us! 1990 LS AWD 5 spd with 262k and I paid 1850 for it from a dealer... grawr! But congrats, it's a nice feeling taking a new soob home
  6. The one thing I was told was to stay away from Fram. So, I do. We get the next brand up, typically. Just my $.02
  7. Andrew (hondasucks) says the clutch needs to be adjusted... it just is really weird driving it. You have to let the clutch WAY out before it will go... quite the process.
  8. We just purchased this 1990 Legacy today! The guy says it's a LSi, but it's badges are taken off, it doesn't have height control, no leather, no electronic climate control, etc. We are pretty sure it's an LS... any comments on that? It's got 262k on it, runs like a champ! It needs an axle and a tune up, oil change, and probably a clutch pretty soon... drives kinda funny. We'll bring it up to WCSS8 for those who want to see ~Andrew & Jess~
  9. I thought that was the greatest - the poor guy, he must have been so overwhelmed.... Although, my favorite part was when Laura (maximumBRAT) & I played in the gravel! We showed Russ how it was done... hahahahahaha ~Jess
  10. I have always been a fan of cars. Never really Subies until I met Andrew (THANKS!!!) The honest to God truth - My brother borrowed Andrew's car from Russell one day, and I fell in love with the car before I even KNEW Andrew. So it was fate! Now, we fight to see who can see the Subies first, whoever yells parts usually is the winner. Me, I usually say SUBIE!!!! Whoever was talking about giving your woman her first car. Andrew did it, and I have driven it like twice... But I won't get rid of it. It's the same year I was born, and it's the best little car around!
  11. You can make it sound extra throaty by cutting the bottom of the airbox out. Andrew did that to his Turbowagon and it made it sound nice. All you do is take a sawzall, or a dremel with a cut off wheel or something and cut the bottom of the airbox off, leaving the lip that the air filter sits on.
  12. Welcome to the wonderful world of Subaru's! I would take the wrx over the mustang too!!!
  13. (this is Andrew) I actually have heard that about 20W-50 as well, but I've heard for some reason it's not as bad??? I dunno.. I was also told that if you change your oil every 3000 it is not really that much of an issue.
