  1. I heard the GL seats have more padding then the DL Ones. Cummon go for custom matching front and rear seats.
  2. Ok my brother is looking into buying a 1992 Mustang LX Convertable. The Good. No rust what so ever 73 Thousand Miles Nice Paint The Bad (Long List) One Flat Tire Busted Tail Lights Busted Windshield Both Doors Hang Slightly Top is Ripped In a Couple Places. Interior Is Moldy. The story behind this is that its a 1 owner car and the Guy gives it to his kid to drive but she doesnt want a car this fast so he parks it. After a year he goes to start it up and finds the top is riped and some mold has started. So he did nothing about it and now 3 years latter hes wanting to get rid of it. It runs and shifts into gear but this interior is something else. I dont even know if you could clean it or even if you ripped the interior out would it still be in the ducts and how bad is that to clean. I personaly love mustangs like this and i think the price is decent for a running car in this shape. But looking on opinions from you guys and on the mold situation, as in if any of you have run into this before. Thanks Ben Car is 1000 bucks.
  3. Do the ea82 4wd have shocks or struts on the back.
  4. Ive been told that you can use xt springs and they will ower an ea82 about 1 1/2 inch. Its only for the front and i dont know if they will work on your ride.
  5. Honestly ive heard the rule of thumb for springs is dont do it. Cant you put the xt front struts like we can with the ea82 series cars.
  6. Holy hell, thats awsome. Yess Yess tell us how its done. Do you have any websights we could go to in order to get parts for things like this.
  7. All this just reminds me i need to go through my cooling system this summer. Mine just takes forever to warm up and when it does it doesnt seem to defrost the front window very well. Ive got lots to check. Good Luck.
  8. Are you going to put the rest of the grill on.
  9. Im going to be putting in some ATF fluid this summer to clean things up but then go back to regular fluid after that.
  10. you know you want to give me the white grill off the blue wagon.
  11. I was at hardies waiting for my food. So for some reason i pumped the brake peddle a few times to see if my system would pressurize and the engine started idleing funny like it would stall but never did. When i quit doing it it went back to normal. I did this several times with the same result. I dont think its lifethreatening but very perculear indeed. Any ideas.
  12. Everyone laughed at my car until the snow fell. Then it was how does it do that.
  13. GD is as blunt as a mack truck but right on. Not a great raceing car but great daily driver. The only thing you can beat your buddy on is during the winter or on a dirt road. Fix it and drive it as is. Great allaround daily drivers but customizing them takes alot of cobbling of parts. You cant even get aftermarket wheels for them, only 5 lug swap, peugots, or 6 lug conversion.
  14. It wasnt anything about it being easy or not but i guess i thought you could put a sproket where the pullys were and line up some chain. I didnt realize the chans need lubricant. Yea i was tired.
  15. Ok its 2am and im thinking outloud. Has anyone tried replaceing the tiresum timeing belt with a sproket and chain type of system or is it not even concieveable to do this.
  16. Rock the DL EJ Swaps are pretty straightforward and there are lots of write ups on them. You could always pick up another ea82 fi motor and put that in. Oh and i think your car is mines better looking sister.
  17. so what are your recomendations as far as surface to cover. About a inch around where the rust is blast off the paint.
  18. You are right about the holes on the side, but none bigger then a bb, at least what i can see how. When i really start hitting it then well see. Didnt you say you had a bit of por-15. Wouldnt that atleast slow it down more. I will clean up the metal as much as possible and then some but i dont have access to a sodablaster.
  19. I still have the yakama you gave me but i think im going to keep the roofline clean. Thanks though. And brent yea its going to be a tough one. I wish i new someone with a soda blaster or something to clean up the quarters. Ironically the hatch and that drivers side are the worst spots. I know people with tank blasters but nothing portable. Honestly though im doing this as cheep as possible. Honestly i just want it one solid color, im tired of this rust crap. If i half to keep fixing it until it surcomes to its wonds then so be it.
  20. I could use a new passenger side fender but someone said they could weld in a patch of metal in there for me. Im leaving off the front and rear trim pieces and filling them in with tigerhair. Yea the small trim holes are there and on spot the size of a baseball on the fender
  21. + + + + + Let The Games Begin
  22. Ive been toying around with some paint schemes and was wondering if we could start a custom paintjob thread. Just so i can see what some people have done.
