  1. I did just what your thinking..I trimmed mine a bit. I messed up the first one by not getting enough of the hose and it ended up being questionably short, but I had a spare. It seems like I had to get as much of the 90 Degree (largest of the two bends) bend as possible for it to be long enough. My '80 wagon has a 4" lift.
  2. Hey Jess, I've never been to one, but heres a link to some info on it. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=81858&highlight=astoria
  3. Hi Robbi, Sounds Good,Thanks.
  4. All this talk about Digi Dash's, you must have scored the little blue Coupe?
  5. Thanks for all the compliments guys. I really got lucky when I found this wagon. Found it sitting under a Doug Fir with a blown head gasket and a good coat of green moss. Ten miles or so up the Lewis River, kinda out in the middle of no where. Advertised on Portland CL. $350 Hey Tex, it IS sporting your Brats old engine. And your Brats old D/R 4 speed. I put in a AA 4" lift. Some 14" pugs. Wal-terrains 225/70/14. Added power steering and the motor I got from Tex had a Weber on it. Monstaru hooked me up with a catless Y-pipe. The interior is bone stock.
  6. Im very much looking foward to WCSS10..I'll for sure be there.
  7. Joseph and I were up in the National Forest above Elbe, Wa. this last weekend.. Got a few Pic's to share. Actually I'm just showing off my Wagon again.
  8. Hey RONAN, Your probably the same guy I see on the news, sittin' around your single wide trailer half drunk most of the time, complaining about all the preferential treatment the Asians enjoy in the US. You need to try and put to rest your 50year old, slanderous, half truth propaganda and realize the Japanese people have contributed enormously to the technological advances that the entire world enjoys today. I read somewhere that this is a Forum to discuss the Subaru vehicle and the Mods that we do to them. There are Forums specifically for the kind of rant your laying down here. Maybe you should go and regurgitate your "opinion" over there.
  9. They aren't the sportyest thing going down the road, kinda why I haven't looked at them too closely. But,neither is anything else I drive. With all the creature comforts, power, handling etc, etc, and the relatively inexpensive price, I think I could learn to like one. Going back to CL. See what I can find. Thanks GD.
  10. GD,Thanks for all that info on the DL,GL,Loyale. That clears up alot of confusion. But, you got me thinking the Legacy may be what I'm looking for. I'm all about comfort in a commuter. What years do the first gen. legacy span and what transmission do you recommend? You say AWD, is that standard in the gen 1 legacy?
  11. Thanks for all the info. I am just looking for a commuter. I have a lifted '80 wagon for the fun stuff. If all Loyales are push button, then are the '88 '89 GL's lever shifted 4wd transmissions?
  12. http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/car/494681866.html I know the duel range, shift lever trans is the better set up. The thing is, this one has everything else I'm looking for. How crappy is the push button 4wd anyways? Assuming its everything the owner says it is,do you think its worth considering? Thanks for any advice. I forgot to mention that I know its the push button type 4wd 'cause I emaild him and asked.
  13. I replaced both calipers on my '80 wagon. I found reman'd ones at rockauto on clearance for $49 per side, loaded. My original calipers were fine. But so was the Hitachi carb that got replaced with a Weber.
  14. Your only a few miles away. Run over there and offer him $20 for the 32/36 DGEV. Get that front bumper too. I'm tellin ya. He wants it gone. What ever you do,DON'T take it for a test drive.
  15. That is without a doubt the same wagon. The air horn is still there.
  16. Thats just there for the pic. When I saw it today it was where it's suppose to be. Yea, that would raise some eyebrows around here, too. especilly if it had some gear in it...
  17. You mean the lift? I see um going down the road looking like that often. I think our cops are subaru guys.
  18. He wants $100 for five allied wheels. (when I first got there) I asked him if he intended to de-mount the rubber in order to sell the wheels seperate. He said yes 'cause he can use the swampers on his YJ.
  19. I'm curios who owned this wagon before this fellow got it in a trade. It has USMB stickers on it. Someone here knows something.
  20. I had the same thought..But, he was pissed at me for the timing belt thing. The car has other issues. I'm not sure if hashing it out here is appropriate while he has it for sale. Maybe it is.
  21. I'm not bad mouthing the guy but he thought they were Kubota tractor wheels...He's no subaru guy. He got it in a trade..I see he put the add back up. Maybe I should have put this post in the CL/Ebay section. http://yakima.craigslist.org/car/445620528.html
  22. I went to Yakima to buy this today and came home empty handed. Six hour drive. It was all going real well until about four minutes into the test drive. I'm accelerating down a slight hill and she just dies. I mean like the coil wire fell off. I coast to a stop, try to crank for a bit and get out start walking back. (bad idea going on a test drive without the owner)I ask a guy in his front yard if I can use his phone to call my cell that i left in my truck, anyway he gives me a ride back owner says she ran out of gas I say I dont think so we go tow it back....crank crank crank...starting fluid crank some more. a gallon of lawn mower gas into the tank, crank crank crank. pull the dis. cap crank crank rotor isnt turning. Broken timing belt. He gets really pissed ,slams the hood and I'm loosing interest in the whole deal. The reason I'm telling you all this is because the last thing he said as I told hime I was going to pass is "I'm going to part it out" Five allied rims with 90% 29" swampers, looks like allied bumpers front and rear, allied lift, allied front skid plate, weber with a snorkel and the roof rack. I really wanted to make an offer on some parts but like I said he was really pissed at me for some reason so, I left...He was a nice guy up until that point and I checked my email a mon ago and he actually apologised for the situation. Some one needs to buy thes parts...He was asking $1200 for the whole mess. I was going to give it to him. But, I didnt.
  23. xoomer, Have I got a Deal for you! http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=80666
  24. I know this isn't the classifieds section but I need to get rid or these cars soon. Details in the "listed in ebay/craigslist" forum. I just dont want a board member to miss out on a bunch of free parts. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=80666
