  1. Thanks for the advice, hitting the pull and save this week and if they have any, I am all over them, plus some other items.
  2. Been searching the forums and all over the internet in general with no luck. Thanks in advance.
  3. I have a set on my Tundra, live on the east side of WA, and agree with the above review, but I will say they wear on the outside edge easily, and every Tundra I have seen with them on has the same problem. Sidewalls are weak and the tires tend to roll to the outside edge a little when cornering. Now this might not be a concern at all for lighter vehicles then a 4 door, 4wd Tundra, but I thought I would pass it on.
  4. Well I would be shooting for a "low" mileage, rust free car, I am guessing that would drive the price up more.
  5. Preferably one with no real work to be done on it. Just a stock 5 speed 4wd car that is nice and road worthy.
  6. Here's my idea, pull a motorcycle camper trailer! Most use the same type of hitch setup and a lot of the websites include the fact that they are good behind smaller cars. Here are a few examples for starters. http://www.roadmancampers.com/ http://www.litetentcamper.com/ http://www.wikco.com/timeout.html http://www.bf-specialties.com/
  7. No room for that many, we barely have room for a 4 door Tundra and 2 motorcycles now!
  8. my wife thinks a good idea to buy a second, nicer, one!
  9. I have some time this weekend, Saturday or even better yet, Sunday.
  10. I don't know where a good block is, but I say lets figure it out and meet up! My sube is no where near ready for wheeling at this point, but we can still get together to wrench, or bs or whatever.
  11. Thanks for the input, I am gonna call around some more, but so far it hasn't been promising. For the record, I searched numerous different strings of words and got stuff that wasn't even related to windshields at all.
  12. So I need to replace the windshield on my wagon. Never done it before, but it doesn't look too difficult to do. I have access to a cold knife, and the local pull and save has a few subes and only charges $22 for a windshield. Is it worth my time to do myself? Is it tougher then it looks? Glass places want over $200 to do it and not carrying full coverage on the car.
  13. If it works out, great. If not, no worries. Being a dad myself, I totally understand.
  14. I need to do my clutch as well....yeah I know, shameless dropping of the inviting myself to check out your working on yours.
  15. Can't answer the question cause I am completely ignorant on the subject but, if you are doing it in the semi near future and wouldn't mind, I would love to see what you are doing so I could learn a thing or ten. I can bring beer, cigars and offer to be a gofer for tools and bring over my sube for your laughing enjoyment if nothing else. Erik
  16. Not in your area, but check out http://www.usajobs.com/ unless you you are adverse to working for the gov't. It's got a great search for jobs all over the world, and you can even set it up so it will notify you every week of new jobs in your area. Good luck.
  17. No, they were just sitting there. Cool, I will do that. Although my sub is drivable, it needs some work to really be right. It gets around town ok for the most part.
  18. After reading this thread I was a bit nervous to do this to my "new" subie, but I did and I cannot believe how much smoke poured out of the exhaust! It looked like it was on fire, after about 10 minutes it finally stopped an seems to run better. I only ever put this stuff in my motorcycle fuel before this.
  19. Don't know if this is the right place or not for this. Anyway, I was heading home from a short ride on my motorcycle(yeah I know it's too freaking cold in Spokane right now) and saw 4 wagons in the front yard/driveway of a house maybe a mile from my house. Guess I am just wondering if it's anyone here? I would love to meet up with any of the locals and suck your brains dry of subie knowledge over a beer or beverage of choice.
  20. There is a little icon for inserting a picture. You need to use the "direct link" one, not the "email IM" one that you used.
  21. There is a little icon for inserting a picture, it looks like a little mountain and sun or some such.
  22. Couple of my motorcycle riding buddies live in Rathdrum. Probably would have been better off buying the $1300 one. Likely mine will end up being that much!
  23. Thanks GD, I will keep it in mind next time around. For now I am just gonna stick this out and hopefully it doesn't go down a road of too much output of money.
  24. Guessing he means the pull and save right next to Spaldings just off I-90. 10414 E. KNOX - SPOKANE is the address of pull and save.
