Not trying to be a prick or anything but could you PLEASE resize that huge a$$ picture that is in your posts. It's killing me! If you don't know how, just ask someone, they will help you out be resizing it and sending it back to you. I had a similar problem because I wasn't sure how to do it but the guys helped me out. Buy yourself a super nice BRAT and wrap it up and store it somewhere. 50 years from now on your birthday, unwrap it, get it running and take it to car shows.

Sounds to me like it's definately in the tranny. Try a flush/fill. If not, start saving money for when it craps out on ya.

BRAT2K was a GenI BRAT that someone had and was modifying it to look newer but in a retro kinda way. It had all Subaru parts on it . It was really cool and a nice project. Too bad some kid got it, it's probably trashed by now. I am sure someone has a pic of it. Ask Mick, I think he does. What a shame. I really liked that thing and it went cheap! Sucks falling on hard times. Same deal with SVXpert's hatch. We should have a USMB Bank/credit card where we could take out a loan when times get tough....That way, we don't have to give up our rides (dreams)

Are you saying it doesn't do it in park or neutral when your foot is on the gas? What about if you are driving and put it in Neutral to coast, Does it still whine? Is it more of a whine or a hum? Do you have anything on when it does it (A/C etc...) Maybe bearings inside a pulley or something. Squeeling belt? If it only does it while the car is moving then I would look near the wheels. If it will do it when the car is not moving look at the engine. Let us know and we will go from there....

Well, Not sure when. I want to do this as soon as I can because it's getting cold quite quickly. This seems to be a bit more heavy than an EA81 plus I don't know anyone. I'd like to be able to do all or at least some of this in one day. I don't have a tree or anything nearby to use like a pulley. I want to put it on a stand to work on it, and I'd hate to have 2 or 3 people show up just to basically help put it on the stand then wait around etc...I am a pretty boring person to be around. I don't know. I just want to get it done!
