East Coast Meet - 9-13-03 in Beaver Springs, Pa - Sticky??
No I won't make it to PA for this. I used to live near there (Bloomsburg area). I will try to make it to PB though. For those of us on the east coast, here's a thought. I had mentioned this once or twice before (Same time I thought up meeting at Carlisle) but just keep it in the back of your minds. Every year in Bloomsburg, PA they have the 4 wheel and offroad jamboree summer nationals (Gets big magazine attention). I personally wanted to lift my BRAT and have a nice paint job etc to bring to this to cruise around. I think it would be great for anyone with a lifted sube just to turn some heads, make people wonder, plus you get to see the nicest of the nicest trucks, competitions, party, see naked chicks etc..... I believe it's in June. We already missed this year but maybe next year. What do you guys think???? Boz

Anyone near Ontario Canada with an EA82T
Reason is because I am looking into underdrive pulleys for my 4wd turbo sedan and this guy says he can make them but needs a car to be the "testbed". Please let me know. I don't ever remember anyone else looking into this and it may get us a few more horses. Anyone have any comments, thoughts, ideas about this? Boz

EA82 engine and transmission swap?
The tranny mod is made by Jerry. A.K.A Bratsrus. If you post a new thread that reads ATTN Jerry or ATTN BRATSRUS you will get him. As for the Legacy 5 stud swap, check in the USRM, I think it's in there. I can't say for sure because I have never looked in there but that would be my guess unless there is a link that says MODS or something. Boz

wheels that will fit a Loyale
Just do a Legacy 5 stud modification and get yourself some really cool wheels. They have deals where you can get the wheel and tire packages and even better, Now you can pay monthly. I saw it in a magazine the other day. I was looking at some wheels that I would love to see on my 4wd turbo sedan. They were like 80 bucks a month! Boz

towing with a sube
BRAT hitches bolt to the unibody. You could always custom fab a bumper to allow for a larger hitch and a stronger bumper. I don't think you would have a problem with a small boat even full of water. The BRATs have great low end torque. If you did have a problem, throw that bad boy in 4 low and be done with it. I don't see any problem with that. This subject came up about two or three years ago. Same scenario. Boz

Building a brat
CC can be added fairly easily, actually, I have a genuine subaru cruise control with everything needed still in the box. Five speeds can be added easily with the help of Jerry's modification kit. I think it's like 100 bucks. I have heard many great things about it. If you are gonna go turbo, then I suggest finding a turbo motor, don't forget to grab the ECU (BRAIN). You don't want to just add a turbo to a NA car because of the compression and like I said earlier the eecu. bOZ

EA82 engine and transmission swap?
The turbos on Subarus hold up pretty well. I don't hear of them breaking like I do on dodge/chrysler products. If you are planning on doing some off roading with your BRAT then I DO NOT recommend a turbo engine. You will be better off with a fuel injected or weberized turbo. If you plan on making it a "pavement pounder" then shoot for the turbo engine, 5spd, legacy 5 lug swap, and some larger wheels. Just some suggestions.....Good Luck! Boz

Exhaust H2O Injection for Torque
Where the heck would you keep all the water? If you are talkin about dumping it into an exhaust then you would have to have alot of it and keep on re filling it. Doesn't sound very feasible. Plus you have the added weight. Boz
