when i was 13 14 15. all i wanted was a toyota mr2turbo. my dad aways said "you should get brat. i loved my brat" i said the same thing why??? "i had so much fun in mine and you can put your bike in the back" he always said that the brat was the most fun 4 wheeling because it was such a challenge and you could go everywhere as long as you could pick good lines. i always loved technical driving and riding. anyway i found a 79 brat with the seats. loved it!!! my friends and i had so much fun in it. always somthin crazy. and alway had a smile on our faces laughing about bombing through snow banks or anything really. i moved and had to sell it. next car was a 98 2door 2.2l. i put studed snow tires on that and took it everywere. people craped there pants. so i dragged a little. gave that to my sister she still has it. got an 85 turbo rx. same thing and now im back in a 86brat. i just joined this website but i freekn love it. i was always to odd ball with the subaru. especialy before the wrxs came out. now i think iv found my home. i have no idea what draws us to them but there is love there. i even caught my soon to be wife looking at an old wagon. she said DAMNIT now you have me doin it. awesome thread!!! you guys all rock

sweet i love to gawk. i want that 3rd eye on my quad headlights. anybody ever do that?

im only 5'5" but they are the same as stock hight. maybe lower but they are fully adjustable. i think very easy to get in and out. suede feels so nice especially on long trips.

i found what i think are the coolest seats from damn near any car. there was an svx that just came into the local junk yard. sooooo mint except the tree on the front bumper. i yanked the seats and now look where they live. im pumped. tell me what ya think.

so true. my first brat had them and this one dosnt. everybody is bummed that they cant go for rides in the back. ill get them i say.

i dont want anybody to get me wrong i love love love my brat. i looked for years untill i found a brat. i live in pa and we really dont have any rustless brats. the one i just got came from tx. no that is awsome. no rust brat. just every time i look at that little step on the side. im like oooo so cool. im gonna put the seats in its just gonna take some fab work with the rack. so you say 85 was the last year. good to know.

i have an 86 brat. not all second gen came with seats or that cool step on the side? why mine? isnt that what makes a brat a brat?

right on. all good info so far. i guess i need to start lookin for some new rims unless i can find the right sneakers. i have some sweet 15in pugs that iv always wanted for my rx. now i have to get rid of them. i really like the 13in gold eknies. anybody got a nice set.

i have 15 inch pug split spoke wheels. i want off road tires on them but im not willing to cut my precious fenders. what is the max diameter that i could run? i saw some silverstone rally tires. they looked like they were lower profile. anyway any help would be greatly appreciate. oh also i have a 3 to 4 inch lift.

i have the rx i want to take the tanny from. would it be alot easier just to grab all the parts off that car. axles and hubs. rather than trying to make new axles?

so what is the differance between ej20h and a ej20r? also the tranny from my rx. will that swap out with the stock brat 4spd? i read somthing about it has differant splines? thanx guys as you can see this is only my 3rd post but im trying to read as much as possible so i dont ask questions that have already been answered.

i have a 86 brat and a 85 rx. i have been reading all i can but i have not seen any write ups on the ej20tt that seems to be so avilable on ebay. does anybody know much about the jdm twin turbo? the ulimete dream is to yank my 5spd ea82t with hi lo and get a 2.0twin. is this nuts or.... the ej22 swaps look awsome but i figure if your going to swap out the engine and all the wirering. maybe just go for it and use the twin. any info or advice would be great. thanks nick mantzoros
