i second the code 11 i have the same problem and have yet to really find out what it is although im not currently experiencing any problems that i know of
-
well i would suggest a clutch kit while you have the engine out especially if its an older clutch. the one i bought had the throw out bearing included.

where did you get that rack at ive been thinking about getting a rack kinda close to that

yea put then there will be plenty of spare parts for you to create your own zombie proof/emp proof vehicle of choice (you of course would have to have other people watching your back while you do this so they can kill zombies) but i tend to think i have played enough Fallout, DeadRising, and Resident Evil to survive both a nucular and zombie apocalypse o yea that zombie post was hilarious

cuz he was cool enough to come down and help me get my subaru back to life and giving me general tips about them and where to snag parts from. he is awsome for doing this without really any hesitation which i wanted to thank him for because i now have a perfectly good running subaru that gets 30 mpg avg. o yea except for the code 11 its throwing which i dont really care about because no one really knows what it is:headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

im picturing a Road Warrior type setting with a lone subaru right now:headbang: if i was doing this i would also throw on some metal bars and mesh over the windows for zombie defense cause you know they're next in line

yea i got something similar today when i was drivin after im guessing about 10 min of steady driving the ecs light came on and i checked and got a code 11 but the car it self runs pretty decent so i dont really know what to do with the code because there isnt that much info on the problem i would like to fix whatever the problem is but it looks like its had it for a while because the previous owner just put a little piece of black tape over the ecs light so he wouldnt have to see it i guess o yea when i turn the car off its gone and doesnt show back up until im driving about 10 min again 86 gl wagon 2 wheel drive 5spd carbed mike -

i had the intake gasket do the same thing on old subaru after i replaced the headgaskets so it can happen -
ok so i recently purchased my 86 gl wagon and it needed a clutch and altenator after replacing them (and then taking the engine out becuase i fubared the clutch install and had to fix it) the car will not start it was running after i switched out everything but when i had to take the motor out to do the clutch again then put it back in it will turn over but no go on starting. im guessing it has something to do with the carb vacume lines because its gettin gas but it seems to much gas imo. so heres pics of the engine with and without the air filter box tell me if you guys can spot anything and i would be more than willing to happily pay anyone for time and gas if they could come help me get this thing going becuase ive been without a car for 2 weeks now so i need some help bad thanks guys!

ok so its daytime again and i found my camera so now i have a picture to hopefully have someone help me on this one so here it is. the wire in question is the one obviously circled in red it just comes off the little black square that the red wire goes into on the right and goes out of picture into a loop and comes back into the picture so any help is appreciated -
so i finished putting everything back together after taking the engine out of my 86 gl wagon carbed 2 wheel drive and now i cant remember where the red wires go for the ignition coil. 1 goes to the distributer but idk where the other one goes and its the only thing stopping me from being finished anyone got any suggestions or pictures???

it worked before just the clutch needed replaced and thats all i did so i dont know why the cable wouldnt work now? -
hey all im kinda in a jam with my current subaru condition the car runs like a champ but i cant get the clutch pedal to engauge the clutch so it wont shift so i was wodering if there is anyone around that might be knowledgeable on the subject an be willing to take a look at it so i can have something to drive because borrowing a tahoe to commute sucks gas like no other
-
thanks everyone for their input on this post i was able to get the beast running like a champ with no problems so the last thing i have to do is put the new clutch in which im about to go out and do right now once im done ill clean it up and throw some pictures up because im gonna be stickin around here for quite a while now:headbang:
