  1. No rear lights, licence plate, or side marker lights. Still have directional and brake lights. All fuses are fine, don't see any breaks in the wires running to the back. Luckilly the cop that pulled me over last night only gave me a warning. Any suggestions or links to wiring diagrams?
  2. I've seen many owners mauals before. But a window sticker, sales brocure, and key box also....unreal. I've never seen a key box before.
  3. http://albany.craigslist.org/pts/1389562459.html Scroll down to the subaru section. He lists 360 minicar and subaru 1000. It could be just a generic parts inventory or maybee he actually has a 1000 aka FF1 sitting in his lot. If you live near Schenectady NY its worth investigating. Happy hunting.
  4. got it out by cutting it out 1/3 of the lip w/ a cut wheel and then pipe wrenching it. luckilly it wasn't cross threaded and i put another plug in it. I'd love to meet the swifty tech who torqued the crap out of it wherever the previous owner brought it to for an oil change, and thank him for turning a 20 minute oil change into a 2 hour knuckle-buster for me.....F-Jiffy Lube
  5. fuse good, no wiper action at all. the rear wiper doesn't work either. are they both on the same curcit? Is there another fuse besides the dash pannel one? I have a spare wiper motor but I want to rule out electrical fuses/conections before swaping it out.
  6. I've tried heating it w/ a torch, pipe wrench/breaker bar, ect. I don't think it was welded to the pan (at least I hope not) any suggestions?
  7. only one screw holing the antena to the body, but you have to get under the headliner to get to it:-\
  8. Paper Mache it! Don't forget to fill the rust holes w/ candy for the kiddies. Subaru Piniata:lol:
  9. are these adapters still available? I have a nice set of 14" vw bus wheels w/ 185/74 tires. 1. will these adapters work on a non-lifted 93 loyale? 2. Do the adapters come with threaded holes for vw lugs, or do they have studs?
  10. I have a decent set of front fenders from a 91 loyale wagon. I'd be happy with $40 for the pair, but the shipping charges from CT to ? will probably cost more than finding a whole parts car in yor area. Look in your local area more.
  11. I might be at the Gatheing of the Vibes in Bridgeport that weekend, like to stop by to check out peoples rides. I could drive The Green Machine, my beater 87 DL wagon and load it up w/ loyale parts for party favors. Or drive the Silver Bullet 77 DL sedan. pm me a street address.
  12. looks great! I'm doing the same rustoleum paint job on a vw bus. Cheap is Neat!
  13. I have an extra sending unit, I'll check the wires too. I thought it might be a faulty guage because the engine is running fine. Thanxs for the tip.
  14. normally it runs at 45 between 3,000-4,000 rpms. today it shot up to 85 at 3500 rpm and stayed there for the last 1/2 hour of the commute. went back down to 45 at idle. No change in water temp, no smoke or engine pinging. I change the oil religiously at every 3,000 miles. Some loyales don't even have an oil pressue guage, if I didn't have one in my dash cluster I wouldn't have even senced any problem at all w/ the engine. Any suggestions???
  15. symptoms: crappy idle, hard starting, doesnt go up to high rmps as most subarus do at start up, when you push the accelerator it bogs. Before swapping out the carb, are there any other things to look at first. I havent pulled the air cleaner yet but I assume it is a Hitachi carb. Any suggestions or links to Hitachi re-build/diagnosis would be appreciated.
  16. http://www.spike.com/blog/great-moments-in/69515 Wonder twin powers ACTIVATE!!!!!!!zzz:Flame:
  17. the wagon wheels look better than the pugs. I'd run the black right up to the trim line, or better yet flat black the whole car. Nice beater you got!
  18. the rear end is all done. The only issue is alligning the rear wheels. when I get up past 65mph the rear end shimmies a bit. Is there a method for adjusting camber and toe in/out on the rear end?
  19. 1986 gl fwd wagon. Years of dump runs and overloading the car(using it as a truck) has taken it's toll. The rear wheel bearings are toast, and the rear shocks are pretty played also. Since I have to do both rear wheels anyway my question is what is the easiest fix. I have a donor car so I was just going to unbolt the upper shock mounts, disconect the brake lines, unbolt the crossmember assembly and roll the whole thing out. I plan to just bolt the whole thing back up in my 86 (wheels and all.) Has any-one done this, is it just a matter of 8 bolts and the brake lines......or is the rear crossmember welded to the body?
  20. spray it w/ p-b blast and let it sit overnight. if that doesn't work hit it with a torch to heat up the metal, carful not to torch any rubber parts. when you put the new one in coat the top w/ ant-seaze or grease, so it wont rust to the top of the sleeve(the problem you now have)
  21. before going in for the test, put in 93 octaine in and run the car for a good hour before pulling up to the testing station. if at all possible don't shut the engine off while waiting in line.
  22. my ea82 has the same problem, put in a new thermostat still overheating. fan working fine. I susspect my waterpump is going bad b/c some days it runs cool other days it runs hot. thermostat replacement is a very cheap fix, I'd try that first.
  23. Never heard of a Touring Wagon? what options does it have that make it different from a gl wagon? any pics?
