I have a ea81 wit the coils installed on the rear, it was that way when i got it. i put a 4" lift on the rear and now i want to install rancho shocks. the rancho shocks have the eye bolts on the top but the coils are mounted with a post top. so how do i put the new shocks on with different tops ? do i need to order shocks with a post top and if so what shocks would they be or do i need to go to the junkyard and get a new top mount out of a ea81..... oh and its snowing in Portland !!!!! urban 4x4 !!!!

I live in Portland and i have all the supply's to make 2 or 3 CARBON FIBER MANIFOLDS FOR THE EA-81 ENGINE ! Does anyone want to help me with mine and you can do yours for free ! well i have it all put back together now and went with the coil springs because they still fit after the lift but now it is very stiff in the rear. what are the drawbacks if i go with the ranchos , i have heard in one reply that i may brake the torsion bar ? what are your thoughts, springs or shocks........... hmmmmm i think maybe shocks because it will be back to stock for a ea81 and because ranchos look cool ! but i don't want to bust anything as i do take it off road most of the time.

Hello i was hoping someone could help with a argument me and a friend are having. i have a 1983 Subaru gl wagon and we are putting on a 4 " lift on the rear, anyway i want to use rancho RS5241 shocks. so here is the argument, he says we cant because of the springs that are on the rear, i say we can because i have looked at pictures here on usmb that have RS5241 ranchos on the rear and no springs. so what is the real deal on this matter ! thanks........

hello i have a ea81 out of a 85 brat, i would like to get a CAMS & VALVES KIT and have my heads worked on to improve flow. maybe some mild porting, 3 angle valve grind and also 040 milled off the gasket face. i can send you my heads but i have no core for the cam. i am looking for torque. what would it cost for a combo deal and what is the turnaround time if i send you my heads. i look froward to hearing from you. thanks for your reply, i am looking for more horsepower and want to replace my intake manifold. i saw this on the web will it work or should i just make a carbon fiber manifold for it http://www.rotordyne.com/manifold.html it looks awesome but the price is high. oh and what is the black box in the picture.

hello EVERYONE , I HAVE FOUND SOME INTAKE MANIFOLDS FOR A EA81 THAT HAVE 2 BING PROGRESSIVE CARBS ON IT .....I WAS WONDERING IF IT WOULD WORK ON MY EA81, I HAVE A WEBER ON IT NOW, ANY INFO WOULD HELP. THANKS !

new plane ? i fly sailplanes, scale and r/c ! so i lost my rear wheel on the way home from browns. the whole wheel came off ! someone forgot to put the cotter pin in still alive but now i need parts.

Nice to meet you all. I went to Browns Yesterday when it was raining . had a blast !! broke my trans mount on firebreak 5 ! We are planing on going to Stevens on Saturday , my fried has a 98 wagon lifted also. Hit me up and let me know if anyone wants to join us how do i add a picture of my wagon ?
