  1. a 6 inch lift :slobber::slobber: amazing. can't wait to drool over this thread...
  2. the easiest way to get around the fan not turning on is to toggle switch it, i have done it in all my subies i have owned, it seems to be a big problem with the 80's subies idk about any of the other era's since i have only ever owned pre 85 subies
  3. i will diffently be posting pics of it, i drew up a picture of what it should be close to looking like without the tires.
  4. opps my bad i read something wrong and thought we were talking about a lift, i am gonna stick with the 4 inch and 1.75 xpipe dual exhaust (cherry bomb) :burnout::burnout:
  5. so in other words i should run a 2 inch lift with 28 inch tires:banana:
  6. my buddy was saying if you get a delta cam an have some place grind it just right you be putting out like 170 ft lbs of torque and 160 horsepower, that with NGK plugs and wires witha 2wd drive distirbutor and blaster 2 coil weber carboratur so yeah its not imposible, sides nothing is really impossible, look obama is president... lolz jk jk
  7. i got a mercedes 60000 volt coil with ngk plugs and the thick insulation wires from ngk on it with a weber 32/36 on it right now i bought it from one of my buddies and put a 3 inch exhaust on it, what the difference between running a weber on a ej22 vs the FI??
  8. sweet sweet okay makes sense, my buddy who knows this kinda of stuff is too busy to talk to me, but yeah that makes sense of why alot of guys do that swap. which one is better for the ej swap carb or fuel injection???
  9. alright makes sense. horsepower to weight ratio right??
  10. any ideas about anything i can do for extra horsepower and torque to an ej22???
  11. the stalls are what i was talking about, and also some of the machining stuff if i can get premision to use it. I will be buying all the materials that i would need to fab up stuff like the rocker panals and bumpers and whatever else i need to fab up.
  12. Okay well i would like some input from ya'll. I am going into the army for Automotive so i will have access to alot of cool sh*t. So i wrote down a brain storm of what i want to do to a subie. I might be doing this to an 83 GL wagon. 4" lift 29x9x15 tsl custom bumpers front and back, and rocker panals Skid plates for the front and rear diff and gas tank (i have already dented a fuel cell mobbing around my friends property) EJ22 swap Whatever i can put in the engine for a higher rev. limit and stuff. 5 spd D/R swap Welded rear diff. Custom roof rack, and storage holder in back. CB radio Custom sound system (gotta have my tunes man) Better ignition system ( no cool really what would work good open for ideas) bucket racing seats in front possible in the back also for my sons. Roll bar?? or cage haven't decided yet Lots of offroad lights lol... All black paint job Yellow top battery fender trimming New gauges on a cluster lots of toggle switchs Custom 2.5" exhaust with x pipe and dual cherry bombs 2 8" or 10" inch pusher fans luved hood 5 lugs conversion so yeah open for suggestions or ideas on what i can improve on it. it would really help me. i want to stick with ifs and irs. and i would like to keep this as my daily driver and such. this is the best picture i have of the subie.

okay, i agree that there should be a manufactored locker for soobs somewhere out there in tv land. too bad a spool wouldn't fit in it, but wait what all goes into a spool. couldn't we make one somehow??? i am gonna look into spools,if i could get my hands on a blue print of a couple different soob rear ends and then an autocad program i could possible come up with something.
  14. sweet alright that makes more sense then what my buddy told me last night when we were mobbin our soobs around
  15. i think my girlfriend is going to be mad with me cause going through this thread i seem to have left a love stain all over her computer desk. lol, but very very :headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:
  16. well i will look into lsd, cause i would like to keep my soob as much a daily driver as possible (so welding the front and rear diffs are kinda outta the question) cause until my sons are bigger it is going to be my family soob then when they are older it is going to be my monster soob.
  17. Is there any way to put in lockers in the front and rear diffs in any of the 80's subie wagons????? cause i get rather tired of open diffs.:dead::dead:
  18. seeing as i traded my little bro my subie for his jeep would ya'll kill me if i asked to tag along in my jeep??? the boy needs a subie so i gave him mine. eventually i will get another one. but i was wondering??
  19. where did you get the rubber from??? i have been trying to find some rubber for mine, and all i can find is some snow tires. she looks good bye the way. very very:headbang:
  20. sweet thank you guys. I think that i am going to go with my original idea. which is to cut the rest of my roof off six inches behind the front seats, turn the back in to a bed and run my stacks there next to my roll cage. thank you you guys that was what i needed to .
  21. :banghead:i want to run stacks out of my hood, but i can't find out if it would be illegal in washington??? does anyone have any idea if it is illegal?? cause as far as i know since my 83 subie doesn't have to go threw emissions anymore all i need to have is a muffler.
