  1. doing an ej swap again and ive got a xt6 trans.just not sure how much work to make diff lock work and if its worth it? it will be going into 85 gl, so any input would be appreciated thanks guys
  2. hey ratty thats my 4 yr old i was trying to get him to smile at me. he was pumped he got to sit in there with his 2 yr old brother . we had had a good time it was basically our maiden voyage in our rig.

  9. i tapped mine into engine bay (chaRGE LIGHT)no probs mine is in a 86 didn't bother with vss runs fine
  10. i tried searching didn't come up with much maybe i'm not searching correctly. anyway the 99 is a phase 2 so i'm hoping it will work any info would be greatly appreciated
  11. make sure you put 12v before diode and not after i think thats one thing i did wrong and then vroom
  12. its a 2.2 and ive done few just never had the markings be off i'll probably triple check before i button it up
  13. i just put a new belt on but it seems the painted markings on the belt aren't quite right. left side is close but right seems off by a tooth. if i put marks on with cam marking i can't get belt on. the count of teeth seems correct for each side.anyone had this problem its a pci timing set i believe they're the same as dealer any help would be great thanks
  14. radio shack has a adjustable resistor can't remember part # but they do have them
  15. 85 gl 4x4 wagon i put an ea 82 out an 87 into and it runs fine but around 2500 to 3000 or so tach hops around.tried putting several other distys in and not running the one that works is a denso and the others ive been trying are hitachis. they were out of a car that fine but cap was left off outdoors for a few weeks anyway was wondering if i missed something or just have 4 bad distys thanks for any help oh also when tach jumps it misses a little bit

  21. i drive the pass 6-7 days a week for the last 14 yrs for work and the salt is 100 times worse!!! slush is much more dangerous than ice and that is exactly what you get when you ad salt! compact snow and ice for me anyday salt is a bunch of bs!
  22. on the passes its sprayed i think its the mag cloride and the lower areas both state and county is straight salt they say the sand is killing fish which is weird never see any fish in the ditch and yes it kills the trees lining the highway if you watch as you drive you'll notice its dead as far as the plows can shoot it sucks bad as a pass veteran working there for past 14 years i really miss sanding of the roads i'd take a chipped windsheild anyday over rought it really likes eating brakes like you can't believe
