  1. im confused i tried to find a post like this and couldnt. so i made one and now its on this post.????????????
  2. hey everybody post some pics of what your subie used to look like and what it looks like now. heres mine before...... the night i got it... oh and id taken the granny caps off. after.....
  3. this morning i put some rtv type stuff on the cross bars for the roof in hopes that they would stick again and my roof wouldnt rattle anymore : D
  4. well i havent been on in a while but i freshened her up a bit. did a scuffn shoot. fresh super white for i believe was a new nissan altima white or somthing dont members though. and i flat backed some pieces. the grill, emblems hatch pieces. retinted the tail lights. And i did that garden trim fender flare trick haha it actually looks great of course 11 dollars is a big incentive. sealed the gaps between the fender and flare with some white caulk. might hit the caulk with some touch up paint to match test fit. finished : )
  5. i appreciate the positive attitude towards my stupidity. i have some 1/4tubing im going to use next time with a cap welded on the end of it for the sleeve and then use a 2inch OD 1/4inch piece for the knuckle end of things. ill be sure to get everyones ok this time im considering taking the same sleeve tubing cutting it in half length wise and reinforcing the rest of the strut too..
  6. you theres somthing wrong with your lifted subie if it starts to develop positive camber in the front. hah
  7. and for the record everybody i was keeping an eye on it and did not drive it on the street just for all the reasons that were pointed out by everybody. i know im stupid but not that stupid geeze....
  8. alright now that ive gotten a mothers touch from everyone i shall redeem myself wish me luck
  9. your probably right ill definetly consider that : D with more reinforcement of course. cuz it was a really easy way to lift it.
  10. i only recently put the extensions on it like 4 days ago so you woulda been in the clear
  11. oh and the reason for the fail was the strut extension i used didnt have enough girth to handle the load. and i have no idea what kind of rims they are. baby moon knock offs maybe????? i got em for free. there 15 x 7 6 lug wheels
  12. yep you called it hah i figured it woulda held up better because of the other piece i pressed in so in a sense it was 1/8inch thick. but hey guess not lmao. it worked good for the 3 days that i had it : D
  13. ya pretty much. i literally just tossed my own sense of judgment out... i was kinda pissed coming home from motion industries(sell bearings) ( took your advice) and they wanted 25 bucks a bearing. which surprised me. so i asked about sealed ones. 35 bucks.... grr.... and they had cheapy made in china ones for 8 bucks and i said no to that cuz i want somthing with some quality. well the lift broke and now im better. lmao
  14. i broke it about an hour ago does that count???? heres the carnage...... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=115207
  15. i stopped hard in my driveway and my redneck lift told me go beep beep myself. honestly it made my day im laughing about it right now actually... got a photobucket account now too......
  16. you could have a warped rotor and a caliper stickn. or a broken belt in one of your tires. just a thought.
  17. my hatch has now conquered gravity. by replacing the lift cylinder of course no major feat by far but i did do somthing to my subie oh got one of the more honey combish style grilles off a sedan too. : D looks way better than the straight ones plus its black and goes with my white real well. i dig it
  18. thanks for the offer but im a diy kinda guy besides ive changed them b4 they really arent that hard, and you guys were right after i changed that ball joint it still grrs at me. kudos and thanks for the input
  19. did a 2 inch suspension lift on the front with some redneck custom strut extenstions it turned out pretty good. camber isnt as bad as i figured on it being changed a lower ball joint too... which was completly fried. id swear there was at least an 1/8 inch of play. the one pic with extension next to shock was cut shorter obviously but everthing fit nice and tight.
  20. sorry i was thinking like a sloppy ball joint causing the camber to vary because the noise goes away when the weight shifts off one side. which also makes sense with the wheel bearing or maybe a tie rod end ball joint being loose messing with the toe in and out. but hey thats probably just the side of me that hopes it isnt a wheel bearing
  21. so driving straight down the road there is a wierd roaring sound (like an intense version of knobby tire noise) coming from the front of my 87 wagon. but if i go around a right hand turn it goes away and sounds smooth and quiet like it should be. im very certain its a ball joint. just not sure which one. any ideas???
  22. well my alternator is goin shnitz up( this is my 4th one....) i changed a wheel stud about 10 minutes ago. oh and my hood latch cable jsut broke.......
  23. ya all you guys a great : D im totally addicted. i never got into face book : D guess i was the rebel child that went against the grain haha.
  24. fixed the exhaust leak. now i just need to fix my power steering mount or get another one. it cracked so my pump pulley would rock forward into the radiator fan. clickclickclickclickclickclickclick. so as of right now no power steering.
