Keyless door entry 97 outback
From the service manual if I have it, it would be under the kick panel on the drivers side? I can't tell if a after market alarm was installed because under the hood you can see here is a speaker but I'm not sure if thats the stock location.. In this picture it's right behind the MAF And inside in one of the blank panels is the red security light but does not have any words on it. having said that does anyone know the part number for it?

I ran my car without the MAF plugged in and while it ran the A/F ratio was nuts first time I've never seen the temp gauge climb higher then at normal operating temps. It never flat out died or anything.

Jack Stands
So I will be buying my tranny jack next week and I need 2 pair of jack stands. I was looking at getting the 6 ton set from HF due to it's lift range http://www.harborfreight.com/automotive-motorcycle/jack-stands/6-ton-jack-stand-set-38847.html It's min height is like the max lift for many jacks My concern is having enough lift to get the tranny from under the car.. Is the 6 ton overkill or can I get by with the 3 ton with it's 16 3/4" lift?

Anyways I'm about to order a few parts from Subaruparts and just my luck the friken grill clips are going to take longer then the other stuff.. Anyone know if dealers keep this on hand or is it all something they need to order? Anyways as far as the transmission side of things I have the two clips in the order for the TOB but what about that clip retainer which looks to be behind the clutch fork? Should that be ok? That shift rod bushing I will just get locally once I can figure out which design it is since it appears to have changed mid model years.

It's been 5 years since I had a 2.5 motor but when you just tap the throttle the revs hang a bit before coming back down. I don't think I ever remember that happening on a 98 forester or my 03 I had.. maybe throttle body needs cleaning?

I've never seen a Ej25 out and opened with the pistons at BDC but I'm sure it would be close.

I got tired of that feeling coming back in less then 100 miles so I switched to ceramic brake pads.

DMV says they need a pass from the town hall stating my property tax is up to date on the last car before I can get my plates.. So effin close.. I would of made it had the stupid mail guy did not come with my certify letter at 1 Pm.. town hall closes at 3:30 and closed weekends and the DMV is closed Monday...

Which I think is the one that's just behind the input seal?

1-3-2-4 replied to 1-3-2-4's topic in 1990 to Present Legacy, Impreza, Outback, Forester, Baja, WRX&WrxSTI, SVXman now I have brand new less then 1 month old NGK plug wires from a EJ22 I can no longer use crossing my fingers that my mail comes early enough (she sent title and bill of sale certified) that I can drive up and get what I need done and get the car down here. I mean Hartford is about 83 miles from me. Also... Wow this is the first 2nd Gen I've seen where the A/C button lights up!! Must mean they never really used it because it's not a replaceable part.
