well I just bought a plane ticket and rented a car. So please look for me and say hi. I really am only going to be there for saturday so I need to cram a lot of fun into a little time space. Let's hope the east coast doesn't get another hurricane right before I leave and while I'm gone like last time.

Carlisle Fairgrounds minutes off of I-81 or the PA TPK in Carlisle PA. Cost to just get in is like $7 or something like that. If you put a car in it would be more but I'm not sure how much. It starts on Friday at about 7am (gates open) and goes to sunday mid-day. Each day it costs you to enter unless you register a car (the reason we hound people to do this). They divide the cars by country of brand origin so look for the asian area and maybe you will find someone. That should just about cover it. Have any more questions just ask.

ok lets get this back on track here. This thread is about Carlisle. With that being said: I got an email from the organizer of the meet. He once again expressed how he would like to see a strong showing at Carlisle for Subarus. He is willing to give us the tent for free. But let me say this. The last time we had a tent it was given to us for the same reason. I really don't think we need to keep taking advantage of their generosity if we can't get the numbers to even look like a real club. So with that being said: who here is really honest to God going to show up. If there is not a strong vibe I will not take them up on their offer. I do not want us or USMB looking like a bunch of freeloaders. As it still stands for me I'm not sure I am going to show up at all. If there is a Harry's run that Sunday I might make that. Saturday is 100% out for me and this will not change. Discuss.

I can't do Saturday at Carlisle due to other issues but I might be able to do Sunday at Harry's. Hmmmm Hocrest the last few years hasn't come to Carlisle or if he has it has been a little brief since he does photography and is usually busy that weekend.

9k not a big market in Iowa for a Baja. In the NE that is a different story.

I have a Baja and rust has been on my mind too. I have a friend that is a member here and I have put him incharge of finding out where a Baja rusts. He is an employee of a Subaru dealer in the middle of NY state in the rust belt. He has found no rust for the most part. The rust you have found doesn't surprise me but for the most part they seem to be holding up well. You know for the right $ I could sell you newer Baja with a lot less miles on it. Food for thought. :-p

The group thing isn't going to happen. Not enough interest. My plan is to go on Friday and Sunday. I will not be there on Saturday at all due to a wedding I need to attend.
