if subaru won't offer a hitch for it then buy an aftermarket one. Can't tell you the amount of Prius that I see with hitches on them.

mine took a little at first but it is slowing down on the oil usage. Mine still takes a little coolant. I am writing it off to break-in but by 20k or so this had better stop. I'm at 18k now.

I heard somewhere that you can't disable it. Maybe if you found the unit that makes the noise you could unplug it or cover it to make it much quieter.

today I hit 12k miles. The power is pretty good for what it is. The mileage is coming up but I really do think mine should be better. With that being said my XV is doing worse than others. Not sure why really. I don't drive like speed racer or like a nun so ?????

believe it or not they don't sell the XV with a diesel in Australia. That to me is crazy. Also I agree i wish they had the diesel here too. I'd buy one in a second.

I've done 32 but honestly I have no idea how it managed that when most of the time it gets 26 or 27 if I am lucky. I really don't drive it hard either which really makes me scratch my head.

they won't fit. I was at a junk yard the other weekend and tried various bars on mine to no avail. I tried: 2,3,4 Gen Legacy/OB, 1 and 2 Gen Impreza, and 1st Gen Forester. nothing. The car is too wide for any of these to fit or the mounting is way different. if you find something that does please let me know. I really don't want to get hosed for $200 from the dealer to get new ones.
