  1. Ohhh Thank you Lol. So I see mudding videos where in the description, they say "oh and you hear the axle snap" Is it super easy to snap an axle? Im new to the whole wheeling idea, and I dont wanna kill myself, or my Subaru
  2. August 20-22nd Search West Coast Subaru Show in google and it will pop up with the website.
  3. Welcome to the board! and The Angel is welcome too *whistles* that is one fine piece of machinery... Im jealous haha. Anyways nice to know you Names Marshall. Youll find all the help you need here, or even the opputunity to share your advice with the rest of the people on here!
  4. Ha I would definately do that
  5. Again, does this mean I shouldnt lift it? Im so confused haha
  6. Wait What you mean keep it all stock? Like no lift?
  7. Welcome to the board ( I feel cool being the first to welcome you) You will find amazing people here. Super friendly, help you with anything you need and of course finding just about any part you will ever need Check the New Gen Section of the Forums for your Outback. Ive loved Outbacks but prefer to stick with the older gens. Would love to see a post in the New Gen section about your Outback, color, miles, pictures, ideas for modifications, etc! Again Welcome!
  8. Well I do want a 4 inch lift. Thats final Undecided about 27 or 29 inch tires. I want my lift to have springy-ness to it, so I dont mess anything up, so should it be partly a suspension lift too, not just body blocks?
  9. Yea I dont have either of those. I wanna primer it basically... I figure if I end up lifting it and going to NWWO then I will probably scratch it up, dent it and such, so being able to pop out the dent, sand down and "touch up" my primer is important. and Nick (with the Pathfinder) just wants the primered army green color.
  10. Yup. They should fit, guess the test will be on Wednesday... If they dont fit, then I get to drive about 15-25 miles with no tranny mounts... with at least 5-10 miles on the highway
  11. So itll really take about 20-30 cans? Seems like so much haha
  12. I want to do some paint for my car, but I dont want to pay $500 to have it done professionally, only to mess it up while wheeling:grin: I have a 1984 GL Wagon - Wanting this to be some forest green, or army green, navy blue etc, just a dark color that isnt black. But I also want it to not be shiny, just be like primer. My friend has a 1991 Nissan Pathfinder and he wants the same thing, only in the army green color, and were hoping to do this either in his front yard or my driveway or garage. Ive read up on heat being a factor and here its anywhere from 85-92 on a given day during the summer.
  13. So Im buying a 1984 GL Wagon... Needs Tranny mounts. I bought some offline that are supposed to be Tranny/Engine mounts... I had heard they were the same thing. I got them today in the mail and they dont look like what I thought they would, but the part number is the same as Autozone's part number. Are they the same or did I buy engine mounts that will NOT work for my Subaru? EDIT: EA81 Engine with 4 Speed D/R tranny
  14. Wrong forum... But Welcome! I had that issue with my 1992. I had done a 180 in it earlier, and had ripped the ebrake up, and it stuck on there, drove it around smelling burnt stuff, pulled over to RED and I mean RED brakes... So let them cool off, drove it home, stopping at every stop light (that was red) and yanked ebrake up and back down, and then eventually the rubbing stopped...
  15. Well... Thought Id just see if everyone approves or advises my plans for my 1984 GL Wagon (that Ill be buying from Scrap487) Currently: Stock height. 4 Speed D/R EA81 Weber Carb (LOTS OF STUFF ON IT DONE BY TREVOR - Scrap487) Plans: 4 Inch Lift 27in tires (I kinda wanna keep the rims that are on it) Winch CB Radio (my friend has an 91 pathfinder that he has big plans for and this is included) Semi Horn (again, my friend wants a train horn, so Ill downsize a tad bit) Dents Popped Out Black/Gray/Off White Primer Possible EJ swap 5 Speed D/R Beefy Rear Bumper (like front one) so that if I get rearended.. Ill be the one laughing TWICE as hard (since Oregon is one of those states where if you rearend someone, its their fault) Losing the entire back seat (not sure what Ill put back there yet) Kinda thinking to sheet metal it all off and use it as like, a slumber area? More plans? Not sure yet, will keep this going as I think of some (or get really good ideas) I still dont know how to upload pics onto the threads If someone will send me a PM on how to do it, thatd be great (and then Ill take this part out)
  16. This forum will become your life I love these folks, I am on here every single day (even stealing the girlfriends droid and logging in) I couldnt be more content with people as well as calling them a family! Used to be on myspace all the time. That got old. Then Facebook took my time. That got old. Now Im on USMB all the time USMB needs a mobile app lol Facebook status: Marshall Erickson: I spent all my time on myspace, then all my time on facebook, and now, Ultimate Subaru Message Board has my time haha I love those Subaru folks What can I say You guys are great!
  17. Well thank you Trevor Its your 84 Im buying Lol. I ordered Tranny mounts today, should be here Tuesday at the latest (the 3rd) and that way we can put them on the Subaru. Im thinking 4 inch lift and 27 or 29s would make most sense, probably 27s would give me most clearance right?
  18. Whatcha drivin? Im pretty excited for it, I mean, I wanna see what I can do to my Subaru as well as chill with people who can give me advice and stuff Plus I mean, come on, USMB members are the best family Ive got
  19. I will definitely look for you guys! So what will happen? Will I get a number for my car (Im number 82) so people know its me, or how does it all work?
  20. Well. Im not sure of the route going up or coming home, but if you find a route that sounds good for ya, Ill start being the 2nd in convoy? or third or what not, just as long as Im not heading up alone, mapquest is NOT my friend haha.
  21. I know how that goes. Going to be school to be a diesel mechanic. Is mom supporting me for my success? Nope. Free service on her diesel truck... What kind of Subie you want in your fleet?
  22. Number 82 Registered... 1984 GL Wagon Who else is going? What route are you taking? Im near Portland Oregon and wouldnt mind sneakin into a pack of Subarus headed up to WCSS!
  23. You get used to it pretty quick... Sadly, between surfing Craigslist, USMB and RPG games.. Id say I spend about 10-12 hours per day on the internet... When I get the 84 Wagon, Ill definitely spend more time with my nose in my Haynes guide and more time on USMB and less on my RPG game (good thing I can sell the character haha)
  24. I saw this on Craigslist! Thought it would be cool to mention on here, but when I went back online to check it, it was gone... Glad you picked it up!
