  1. does anyone have a bull bar they would like to send to me, to replicate an exact fit? or by chance have a CAD drawing, and i was thinking what if i added an cross bar for it, think it'd be better?
  2. unfortunatley prototyping has been delayed till next weekend because the guy that was going to drop the outback off had to go out of town, instead i will start with a first gen bumper then ill work with an 86 any suggestions for the first gen style?
  3. First prototype will be started in 2 weeks on a 2000 outback sport. 2" mild steel 11 gauge. Front and rear bumper
  4. A lot of potential there.
  5. what about the newer subes like the outbacks?
  6. alot of those ideas are excellent. we can do the y pipes if we can get an original one down here. we would be able to ship any where in the world. and the bumpers would need to be simple. the more welds the higher the cost. the more cnc the cheaper. the bullbars would be a for sure thing we can start doing. but does any one know the year range where these parts would fit universally?
  7. I work in a production mandrel bending shop. So I have access to huge mandrel benders that could manufacture bumpers cost effectively. I'm wondering how much interest is in this? What type of designs would you guys be interested in? One of our CNC benders: Our level of welding:
  8. Well ill be a taker if you are in oregon. I own I fab and machining shhop with a hd plasma cutter.
  9. if you figure it out let me know because thats something i want to do as well to my brat
  10. thanks. know a good place to that many different wire colors?
  11. i noticed the poor drawing for my 79 when i installed a different ignition lock cylinder. i had to trace the wires myself to get them right because it wasnt accurate on some of the colors. but i dont know where to start because there was alot wrong with it. and its been out of the brat for a few months so i dont remember all the issues. i know it'll be quite the chore. i tried to find antother harness for sale but had no luck. and my 79 harness is missing sensor wires and plugs so it works but not the best.
  12. well i am curently running a 79 brat harness in my 81 because the harness for the 81 took a ************. lights wouldnt work, blinker and stuff worked backwards and the tack wouldnt work also. i just wanna rebuild the whole thing possibly out of a slightly bigger gauge and to make sure every thing is right i want a witing diagram. would make things easier. sube1o1
  13. can any one help me out with a wiring diagram for an 81 brat with the 1.8? it would be most apreciated thanks sube101
  14. i work at an exhaust manufacturing company, i could probably start building subaru exhausts for fairly cheep. and not restrictive low end crush bent. they would be high flow mandrel bent. and either mild, alumanized, or stainless. this isnt advertisement this it a thought
  15. the header/down pipe is double walled. but the rest isn't but is could just be a heat shield making the rattle
  16. oh and i could price out products through my shop and have things delivered if ur a do it ur self kind of person
  17. honestly it shouldnt cost 500 for a new cat with some components. i work at an exhaust shop and it would only cost around 150 and usually you dont need a new muffler if ur cat goes bad. but sometimes you do.
  18. what place in cali re does dashes? and how much bout is it?
