  1. Thx for the offer jerry.... But I think i got everything to do it:D
  2. Wasn't planning on it since there is a coolant passage right under it but if it runs rough then i possibly might.
  3. Here is the intake manifold weber adapted finished by bill
  4. I would start at the battery and check the connection to the battery.. I have had issues with not having proper connections. Clean terminals and posts. And sometimes you can't see breaks in fuses so use a test light or a multimeter. I have always been told start simple.
  5. I think Bill said that all of the things to do this swap came from you But still confused on what wires I will need to use from the Disty if you can help.
  6. And if you look at the bottom of the disty those 2 things off the bottom line up with the 2 key holes on the back of the cam shaft
  7. i Think its off of a chysler if i remember what bill said.. And he said that it should work just need to seal and space it. And he is welding a weber fitting on top of an intake manifold so i can fit the weber on.
  8. Awsome thx scott..Hope to go out for walker run sometime.
  9. So I bought the Beast from Bill. My first outing with it. does alright even running on 3 cylinders. and going to do a carbureted EJ22 swap into it . I was wondering about the distributor and if there is a specific way of timing it with the engine, or if i can just hook it up and be on my way once the engine is in. It should look like this i believe on the back passenger side of the engine. and here are a couple pics of the disty O and wondering which of these wires i will need to hook up. Thx in advance for help!!
  10. THX for the reply...I guess I get to start the hunt again lol:lol:
  11. So today at school i finally checked out my abs light on my 05 impreza 2.5rs. I used the Snap-on motus (extremely nice:brow:) It told me that the G sensor had low voltage. Then I went on alldata and told me to look for the Yaw sensor and it gave me some random picture that did not explain where it was located. Wondering if you guys could enlighten me on where it might be. THX
  12. I am going to hit this one up It will be the last for the RS until i finish school..
  13. Thx for the wish.... I can't wait to see it finished myself lol:D Thx but i might have just found a full engine from my buddy once he gets his 93-99 impreza coupe and hes giving me his wire harness and ecu.
  14. Well Brought my pistons home to clean them. Got inside and started to look at them and saw the in between the 2 compression rings on one piston theres a chunk missing:dead: So now i have to get new pistons or buy a decent engine with all the goodies already with it.
  15. Hi everyone I just got this 86' hatch from Bill (thebeastidrive) That is an old picture of it Here it is as it sits today. (sorry for the bad cell phone pic) It still has a 6" lift on it. It is also pretty much gutted My plan for this build is to put this into it Its an EJ22 i got for $25 so it need some parts to get it to run. in the process of buying new bearings and piston rings. This pic is right before i ran it through the parts washer at school. Right now i have my friends 4speed and rear diff for it. But my other plans are to paint it a dark flat purple and black. Going to put on some 32" tire don't know what kind yet. a dual hand brake mod, a 5speed swap, a nice front and rear bumper with skid plates, a welded rear diff, and maybe a 6 lug swap.
  16. Doesnt look like an OBD2 plug to me....But i only have a quarter of technician school under my belt, so i could be wrong
  17. Figured its cheaper then buying 5 windows and the are lighter than glass.
  18. thx for the info .. Looking at poly carbonate and it looks like they sell it with UV protection. Adhesive would you use silicone or something like liquid nail?
  19. Thinking of removing windows and using polycarbonate or plexiglass in an 86' gl hatch. Has anyone done this before? Sounds like a good project since the hatch only has a few windows as of right now.
  20. http://ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=104692&highlight=bill+omlin thats his thread
  21. Not sure how much it will be but Bill (thebeastidrive) also does lifts
  22. Welcome to the site this is 1 of 2 forums the other is dirtyimpreza.com 2 great sites and super nice people.
  23. sent them an email and got this back Hey Brandon! Thanks for your request for more information about what we think is the most exciting thing to happen to rally driving in a long time. Intro pricing is $895 for the one day program (reg $1150) and $2795 for the three day program (reg $3250). We will offer one on one instruction on Olympus WRC stage roads to take your team to the next level or all the way to the top if that's your goal! As you've probably already noticed, we've changed our name to DirtFish Rally School. Why? Because we want to make sure we stand out from the crowd. And, our facility, our cars, our instructors, and the experience we're going to provide is so cool that fish will be jumping out of water to get here! Our official opening date for our courses is late summer. The exact date will be announced in the next few weeks. We have a lot of work ahead of us over the next couple of months to make sure our facility is perfectly prepared, and that will determine the date of our official opening. Stay tuned. Between now and the official opening we'll be running some cars on our site, testing our courses, preparing our stage roads, giving our instructors lots of practice... and maybe even having some fun. A lot! By the time we open the doors to you and everyone else, we want to make sure we're running like a well-oiled machine. We plan for DirtFish Rally School to set a new standard, for everything from how you register for a program to the actual driving experience. You can keep up to date about our preparations and about our official opening date by following us on Facebook at DirtFish Rally School. Our website is now up and running at http://www.dirtfish.com, but you'll want to check back with it often as we'll be continually updating it over the next month or so - just like testing and tuning a car, we'll be doing the same with our website. We know that people like you are the backbone of the rally community, and we hope you'll spread the word about what we're doing. Please tell everyone you know about our Facebook page, about our http://www.dirtfish.com, about DirtFish Rally School. Of course, we'd love to have you join us for one of our programs. You have to come out and experience what Travis Pastrana called "Freakin' ridiculous!" Greg Lund
