I welded up 2 1/4 inch exhaust on my mustang with an old Arc welder, just had to buy some thin rod (that hadn't been left out in a shed for 20 years). Not a point and shoot operation like a good gas MIG setup but the results are pretty durable. Tip: do a few practice beads before starting on your project LOL

Sounds like the oil is getting pretty hot. I used a pint of Power Punch gear additive in my 5spd when I changed it out, and used it in the 4 speed of my mustang. makes the oil pretty sticky and won't foam up under heat as much. if you use the stuff though do it during a full oil change on the tranny and put it in FIRST then add normal gear oil on top of it, or it won't want to mix up as well lol. Also from experience... you might want to fix the oil leak on the tranny... ate the syncros off 4th gear in my mustang's first tranny because I didn't know it was pushing out oil where the linkage runs into the bellhousing

A local dirt bike shop let me borrow their carb sync meter when I set the carbs on my FJ600. Said they weren't licensed to work on street bikes but they had the tool and I could do it myself. Heck, they didn't even charge me to use it lol

was the white XT missing the front bumper cover?

dad didn't want to cut a hole in the roof for the wood stove, so it goes out the side instead, and the wind blows the soot back towards the house sometimes lol i live in rochester wa, halfway between centralia and olympia

guess i can say hi now that i've been trolling around this place for a month lol bought an 88 XT about a month ago and put a new pair of head gaskets in it with the help from the subaruxt folks. pretty fun now that it's running, other then being extremely underpowered... but that's a story for a different day. if you hear a very loud ea82 in the slow lane on the freeway... it's me

check the rotor to make sure it's still got it's set screw in there, if it backs out it can cause trouble.
