  1. The accelerator pump was exactly the problem. I had put in a new diaphragm right before the fuel pump went out last summer and entirely forgot to put the spring back in. It has been over a year sense last I worked on this thing so I far entirely forgotten. Thanks allot for the help she is running great now
  2. New carb both fuel filters are new and a new fuel pump
  3. Hello everyone. I have an 86 brat that has a Weber conversion. I've tried the carb according to instructions this it is idling fine like it is supposed to but whenever I accelerate from stops it cuts out. If you slowly move the throttle it will not cut out but if you hit it fast it cuts out. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks
  4. I just finished doing a Weber swap on my 86 brat just wondering what to do about my throttle cable bracket. The old one is just barely to far away and my kit did not come with a new one. Just looking for tips and ideas thanks in advance
  5. sorry for the late reply, i have no internet and have been traveling for a while. the oil is bad but not too bad i guess, i will check the sending unit and pump. thanks for the advice everyone. I might get in touch with Idasho later still want to do a rebuild in the future.
  6. So my brat has an oil pressure problem going on. when ever it is in gear the oil pressure gauge tops out. I am pretty sure it has blown some of the gaskets because there is oil all over the bottom of the engine. I am just looking for someone in the moscow pullman lewiston areas that could rebuild it for me, I would love to be able to help and learn as well. I would try to do it my self but I am moving in to an apartment that wont allow me to work on my vehicles in the parking area. Please contact me with your rates and we can work something out. I would really appreciate the help since i relay on the vehicle to get around while my wife has the car. my email is jeremy_lee_miller@yahoo.com. I will be getting a cell phone soon so I will post the number when I get it.
