wow! i went back and looked at the pics and there are definitely 4 holes to install those wrist pins. so then are there plugs that fill those holes? i noticed that one of the holes is cover by the oil pump -

so effectivly is back spacing really just offset + other half of the rim. i get it i just dont understand why they need both measurements -

im really curious to know how the hell you put the pistons, and pins on the connecting rods if your already installed the crank? im assuming its not like a convetional v-8 where you drop the rod/piston assybly through the cylnders. -
i have a book that tells me how but i learn much more from this forum! i know i have to pull the engine but any other things i should know about?
-
so would i have to get all new axel shafts and what not or could i just fab my already existing hub plates, and make that work? ill take a look into it but i like the 6 lug toyota conversion alot!

so what im asking is what do i look for to make sure that the surface the lugz go through or the spokes dont rub on the caliper's. ive seen it happen in other custom situations -
have you ever thought of bfg at's or mt's, or are they too pricey

when you say 13", is that size of the wheel, or is that the distance from the center hole to the inner lip of the wheel? -

ok so i understand what back spacing is, but what is offset? and what do you have to look for when picking out a set of wheels to make sure that they wont interfere with brake components? -

so then on the ea81's instead of a belt that breaks every 40,000 ish miles, they have gears? or a chain? -
so then what is a good lift to get, ill probably get a 2" or a 3" but where? and can i use the same lift as a bratt
-
do you have any problems with the tires rubbing at full compression of the suspenion? i measured my 13's with studless snow tires and they are 21.5"; do you think i could get away with something like a 25"-27" with out the lift?

^^^ i might not know as much as you about subaru's but im pretty sure that the ea81's didnt come stock with hydraulic lifters. the hitachi carb sucks rump roast, but that can be up graded. dont get me wrong ea81's have more power potential, but i drive an ea82 with 400,052 miles and its still goin! -
