  1. ya i pay alot of attention to noises, im known for killing the tunes just because i hear a weird rattling, only to find out that it is a pop can on the floor.
  2. what about the chevy rally wheels that they put on suburbans, and some pickups? http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=chevy+rally+wheels&view=detail&id=4A19F8D6AFF553EF603DA518C4DC1B86EC410005&first=0&FORM=IDFRIR
  3. yeah i hope they do me well, cause im tired of my suspension sounding like a bone in a tin trash can.
  4. ya those old struts, the shock DOES NOT RETURN TO THE TOP! i think they are the originals with over 150K on the car.
  5. so ive been working on front struts, wheel bearings, ect. every thing has been painted ( except for the brake calipers ) i have one side all back to gether and the complete strut assembly for the other side. the new bolts and strut mount the wheel bearing housing assembly, and all the other jazz new painted springs and strut bellow a better look! and the compete right side strut! hopefully ill notice the difference!
  6. thanks. ok im going to upload some pics of my car (sense you guys have only seen small parts of it) ill ad better pics when i get it done, hopefully by tomorrow.
  7. yeah actually it does, how do you post a link with big rump roast colored words like that?
  8. ya whats funny is that i read the post from "The loyale" that has the same link, after i posted that, and now i look dumb, oh well.
  9. ya i researched it, there is a base coat of stuff that you apply that converts it, and then the final coat hardens into a ceramic type finish that you can paint, sand ect. i guess it is actually supposed to be really efficiant if you do all the steps right.
  10. so does it just cover over, or does it like eat the rust?
  11. hey mr. loyal what was that POR stuff miles fox used on his rust problems?
  12. sweet jesus balls of fire! i spent so much time looking at that post and still have so much to read. that car is bad rump roast! its every thing that i want to do but dont have the balls or the money too.
  13. so then my two options are to "A" cut the metal ring to wiggle it on, or "B" sand the surface down a bit so it slides on with ease?
  14. there not moog there ingals and the ring like you are talking about is metal in my case. i did it on the other side but i cant do it on this side. do you guys think it would be a bad idea to use a sanding bit on a dremal to lower the out side diameter on the bj?
  15. well, they should have continued to make them cause they would have made a lot more money. i tell ya what they would have my money for a set of mt's!
  16. ^^ i wonder where they found mud terrains in that size.
  17. do you guys have any tips on how to install a ball joint boot. cause this little bastard has taken up about an hour of my time, and i cant get the boot on the ball joint! :banghead:
  18. iaght here is the new stut bellow's, front right wheel bearings, and strut mounts!
  19. thats awesome, i got the rest of my parts today from rock auto. now i can put my subie back together with new sh*t! YEAH BUDDY
  20. at one end of the scale i do see your point, but on the other end i dont; because why would some one read a " 6 lug re-drill" thread if there not interested in using a 6 lug wheel. this whole thread is based on the idea of "can i use trailer tires so i dont have to re-drill" and " if i re-drill what do i need to do/ what tires/wheels should i look for." i have also learned alot of information from this thread!
