  3. i have had that problem my self, and i replaced the +cabel from battery too starter. and the problem is solved. try it and your car will fire up like nothing has happend.
  4. i have had a bearing on my car that hold for only 300-400 km. only because of bad quality on the bearing. i recomend a total check on bearing, hub and so on. good luck
  5. check the cv's, it maybe there the problem is. i have had that problem my self.
  6. thanks guys. i let you now how it's going with all the swaping i'm gona do. and i'm should try to get some photos before and after swaping also. what i'm gona swap. fenders, doors tailgate, bumpers and the hood. + more on. i think it will take a couple of month's to do it, because of the cold wheater up here in norway.
  7. i need too pull out the dashes because i need too switch the heatcore. if it hasnt been for the heatcore i havent been thinking about it. but as i say, the heatcore need replacement becaus it's a hole in it. and it's leakin some coolingfluid.
  8. the plan is the entire dash. i'm gona part out the 87 sub and move it over to the 86.
  9. does anyone have a wiringdiagram to the dash for 86-87 sub, it would be nice if somone could post it.
  10. pictures are not from my cars, but they are identical and have redline at 6500 rpm. and both cars are carbed.
  11. i have a 86 gl 5sp d/r and i have just bought a 87 gl 5sp d/r, the 87 does not have the same dash as the 86. and i'm thinking about swaping the dash from 87 to the 86. but the big question is, do i need to take wiring harness and swap that to, and how hard is that. and is there anything else i need. those dash is not digi dash. i have searched usmb and usrm for info about swaping dash. but nothing found. i have attached som pictures of the dashes. and does the steeringwheel from a 87 fit right on in a 86. or do i need to replace the steering axel. all info is helpful and very welcome. sorry for my bad english mons72

  13. ok. but explain why my car spins on 3 wheel in 4 wd hi and not in 4 wd lo. i dont understand it. its a parttime 4wd i have.
  14. ok. but strange. if i remeber right when i bought the car so did the diff lock all wheels on my car, specialy when i'm straight forward. but not now, and i'm not driving offroad with the car. just have about 50 cm snow. but i should not argue on that.. thanks anyway
  15. hi i have problem with the diff in front and rear:confused: , i have a 86 leone wagon 5sp d/r. the problem is that the wheels on the rigth side turns and not the wheels on the left. and this is in the low range with diff on:banghead: . whats the problem, do i need a tranny and rear diff change. help please karstein
  16. i have a picture that show the strut tower is turned 180 degree i could get the picture in here, but can give you the name. how to keep your subaru alive on page 329 is the picture good luck kartsein:)

  18. i now it's the wheelbearing. when i'm rocking it on the top and bottom, it moves a couple of millimeters( 5-6 mm). but i have heard that i have to measure up the hub, to check it for damage. if it damage i have to buy a new one and putt on the car.
  19. thanks for the help:) i'l try out everything and see if i get to hold on or not. 145 ft-lbs is correct torque. i should measure everything before mounting it on to see if it's wourn out or not. thanks again folks
  20. i have trouble with the leftside front wheelbearing. it holds for about a 100-300 km, then i have to change it. i do what the repairmanual says about it. but it still dont works for long. i now that i have to use a momentwrench, and i have to pull 196 nm with it. i hope some one can help me, my serviceshop cant.
  21. to clen battry acid you can use steam and some strong soap, i hope you get i it clean:cool:
