I started this today, and also ordered my projector kit. pretty excited. What did you use to re-gule the lens back to the metal housing? and also do you have pictures of the back of the headlight bucket?

I found this... I'm guessing It's "twilight blue"

Do you know what company made your projector kit?

Say i had the lights, and projectors. What would be a rough estimate of what you would charge to do the conversion?

I live up in confer, would be a bit of a drive, 30 miles from south west plaza area. The shop I go to and trust super well is Clarksons I can get the number. But they work on all kinds of subarus

I got the old go wagon shifter and did exactly what you did, had to cut a little of the body since I was raising it about 1 inch. And got it welded. Works great! Pretty easy mod, gotta say! Thanks for the advice everyone

To zefty. How far did you move the pivot point from the stock position? Like a inch (more or less?)

Yeah. Shorter throw. But how do you do this if you don't have welding equipment?

Just wondering if anyone has attempted or successfully put a short shifter on a 86. and if you have pictures? just seeing before i end up spending money for something that might not work.
