  1. Called Nashville, TN (Downtown)Subaru, got a helpful parts man, reasonably sure 812764110 is the PN. Found couple sources; https://www.amayama.com/en/part/subaru/812764110 https://www.subarupartsdeal.com/parts/subaru-seal-washer-rocker-cover~812764110.html?vin=&make=Subaru&model=GL Series&year=1985&submodel=&extra1=&extra2=&filter=() Anybody know for sure??
  2. Need PN and best place to buy. Old stuff getting scarce. Seeing plenty for newer engines. Are they same thing?
  3. Anybody able to download their PDF catalogs? It keeps bringing me back around to ID form. Found this kit I think will fit my '83 GL wagon. https://www.ebay.com/itm/FRENKIT-Repair-Kit-brake-master-cylinder-120060/154201928962?hash=item23e726b502:g:7YYAAOSwQWFZdQov#vi-ilComp
  4. For future reference; 723237000 or 28487A https://www.subarupartsdeal.com/parts/subaru-lock-washer~723237000.html Is there any way to get emails of posts here?
  5. For '83 GL, they appear to've been largely discontinued at/by parts houses here. Can?? get Raybestos MK1609 - Raybestos Element3 Brake Master Cylinder Repair Kits rebuild kit from Summit for $53.76. Anybody know cheaper option?
  6. Welcome NDL. The one on my '83 4WD GL wagon is black and has 6 wires. Wish I knew why it turned 2nd shot sideways.
  7. This is the FPCU on my '83 GL Wagon. Bottom row; BU/RD, hot when cranking. BK hot w/ign. on. Top row; BK, GRND w/ign. on., YEL, ign. pulse from coil/ dist. module. Quit pumping gas twice yesterday. Installing temporary jumpers to attempt "in flight" diagnosis when it quits again.
  8. Thanx y'all! Didn't realize how much the bushings were worn. Had .015" slop at top. Got blessed to find a Cardone rebuild on Ebay for $120. https://www.ebay.com/itm/REMAN-OEM-DISTRIBUTOR-42987-8110-DR480-03-FITS-SUBARU-DL-GL-BRAT-31-810/274358924769?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Superoo's back out on big road.
  9. Fixed mine, thanx to folks on new thread, Didn't realize how much the bushings were worn. Had .015" slop at top. Got blessed to find a Cardone rebuild on Ebay for $120. https://www.ebay.com/itm/REMAN-OEM-DISTRIBUTOR-42987-8110-DR480-03-FITS-SUBARU-DL-GL-BRAT-31-810/274358924769?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 Superoo's back out on big road.
  10. I'll call them tomorrow. Hoping they'll just rebush one of mine.

  12. $211.50 http://www.philbingroup.com/rebuilt/catalog/part/10-0810.html
  13. Hmm, was tight when I pulled it out of other car, I'll recheck.
  14. HT lead=plug wire? Dist. is tight. Orig. had Nippondenso dist. Module failed, they're EXPENSIVE, so replaced with Hitachi. Got new coil that's Hitachi FSM specs, installed resistor and resistor start bypass wire, which was not on car.
  15. At high speed, 65-70, it breaks down. Tach sometimes jumps up, most times down and fire is lost. Can drop speed to 45-50 and it does better, still glitches a little. Disconnected tach wire from cluster, did OK one trip, then began same again.
  16. Was hoping it had another safety in it. Any idea what/how the the pulse sensor activates the unit? Never heard pump activate at initial ignition on. Yep, has 6, why I hoped it had 2 functions.
  17. Attempting to diagnose my distributor module issue. Already disconnected tach, which didn't help. Want to disconnect pump control from coil to see if it's affecting dist. module. Thinking it's got couple? safety functions, wanting to leave other(s) working. Hoping somebody's got function info.
