  1. Merry Christmas! http://s446.photobucket.com/albums/qq184/seahag1978/BRATS/?action=view&current=Santa.jpg
  2. Here's Woodstock: http://s446.photobucket.com/albums/qq184/seahag1978/BRATS/1978%20BRAT/ And my '86: http://s446.photobucket.com/albums/qq184/seahag1978/BRATS/
  3. If it's white fiberglas, then use the same stuff you would clean your bathtub with (Lysol Tub and Tile with Bleach, Scrubbing Bubbles or Soft Scrub) then just use a good wax after. If it's paint, then just use a good quality cleaner/wax like Maguire's. We used it with a buffer and it took 8 years of oxidation off a dark green car and brought it right back to almost new. It also took out those black lines that come from rain running down from mirrors, door handles, etc. Awesome stuff! I would stay away from sandpaper and especially steel wool, too easy to "break" the finish.
  4. It's tweezer time! Seriously, I wouldn't try taking them out. Put the fan on high and pick it out.... may take a few months for all of it to emerge so you can reach it. If you do try to take it out, and break off the tip, a penny wedged in the end will keep it from falling out
  5. These guys found one and installed it for me. It was in the Boston area though. http://www.diamondautoglass.com/locations/Auto-Glass-Locations-in-Colorado-CO.aspx Good luck! Mary
  6. LB needs to be bare nekkid before he gets any paint the badges are the last stage... then it's nirvana! I want to witness you placing them on! When the 86 was done, there was an audience when the last badge went on! Yes, clapping and drinking followed!
  7. Whoohoo! Ah, that's the coupe... it's just like the one had only mine was black... she got donated to the Kidney Foundation after she developed a habit of not starting for no reason... she left me stranded one too many times
  8. I agree. The true value is what someone will pay for one. I posted this before: http://www.vinbee.com/cgi-bin/pv.cgi?veh=subaru-brat There are other throw-aways that are gaining in value, that's if you can find one for sale.
  9. This was pretty cool... if it's been posted before sorry about the repeat. http://www.vinbee.com/cgi-bin/pv.cgi?veh=subaru-brat&s=
  10. Hi Skip! I would paint it, if it were fiberglas, the Gem Top not so much. But then again, it would be a good accessory if you decided to ever sell.
  11. Got you beat by 9 months... so when I was born, you were that "twinkle" in your dad's eye! Happy birthday kiddo!
  12. Back in the day, my insurance agent classified it as a truck to the insurance company (cheaper), then altered the "malformed" 2 into a 4 at the registry to classify it as a passenger vehicle (cheaper). BTW, not recommending this practice... he was a modern day Robin Hood who got busted by the Feds 10 years later because he was trying to rob Peter to pay Paul and not let anyone's insurance lapse when money was really, I mean REALLY tight... I know he never kept a penny for himself... he paid one policy with another's money, trying to stay one step ahead, hoping they'd pay up. Nicest guy you would ever want to know... I felt really bad when it happened. Anyway, now they're registered as a cars. PAN plates. And as far as I know, as long as there are factory installed seats with factory restraints, there is no law that you can't carry passengers in them. Again, if they were factory equipped. The only caveat is the expiration on the seatbelt webbing... you may have to have the webbing replaced professionally?
  13. There's a shoulder that keeps them separated and a spacer that goes in there too... learned that the hard way when a "professional" tried pressing them out with a gazillion pounds of pressure... when they didn't move, he heated them til he warped my hub. You remove the old ones from the center out.
  14. Yeah, set-up is expensive. Get me good pictures and exact measurements of the stickers and I can set them up... gratis. I did that for a living for 35 years.

  16. Weird... I just read this post and flipped the TV on... what was airing? This commercial... at the beginning of My Name Is Earl. I caught only the last few words... it went something to the effect of... "so that other cars can live on. It's what makes a Subaru a Subaru". hmmm, does that sound familiar? It's been said here, on this board, hundreds of times. Gotta see if it airs again. Subaru advertises a lot in this area.
  17. Arrrgggh! Not going to happen this year. This restaurant business has taken every second of my time and energy (I lost a pound a day, and feel tired at 10 pm, but great otherwise). Hopefully I'll pull a personal paycheck soon, it's gaining little, by little, by little Connie, where's those recipes?! I hope everyone has a ball!
  18. Jeeez... sorry Skip, I thought the link was going directly to the single pic, not the whole album... maybe someday I'll figure out this dang contraption.
  19. Here's "Woodstock"... http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/photos/showgallery.php?cat=1030 Can't wait til spring, when the salt gods go back to sleep...
  20. Nah, the 2-tone and mix of plastic and chrome accentuates the "little kid built it from broken toys" look that I LOVE! I passed a few Bajas today and they were all single color... almost looked like that Honda Ridgeline? B-o-r-i-n-g and inconvenient to reach the goods in the bed. Today, my interior was full to the ceiling and my bed was full. I was forced to use my side mirrors... wish it had back-up sensors. LOL! I love my Baja!
  21. The white BRAT in my gallery had the same style roll bar in it.. I'm sure it was installed when purchased new from the dealership.
