H6 into a 92 Loyale?
The EG33 isnt the best choice for anything but to show people..... I dont mean to discourage you... DO IT! but you might just go for some other EJ series motor.... EJ257 maybe.

Let's talk brakes on lifted rigs...
Ditto on my wagon... Braking feel is more like just slowing down.... Checker sells ceramic pads for the xt6.... maybe they do for Gls too.

Loyale Nightmeres??
Hey.... I think you should pass.... there are tons of older loyales on Earth and not all of them are rusty. rust is evil... My 87 GL has some rust, but I only paid $200 for it and have only done a few things to it to keep it going great. Dont let miles scare you in your hunt either. Unless its over 250K... I'd say look into it... some of the best ones have over 150k on them and have little rust....

New Here - 12K mile '87 SPFI EA82 GL (needs TURBO!!!)
I posted about this in the retro fit thread. I'm planning to turbo my spfi, but I only wanna go a bit more power... the big tires kill its highwayableness. I think you guys are also kinda confused(some of you) the SPFI only has 1 big injector..... not injectors. adding a 5th injector would really be adding a second injector:drunk: Anyway I've been talking to the guy who did it to an EA81 and the hardest thing he had issues with was fuel. ... I'm a mile high and plan to intercool so I'll have less issues.

Tried that... tried to use a puller for a cam gear... seemed to fit, but it kinda bent the back of the wheel......couldnt get the wheel off at all, no amount of pulling would do.

Suberdave's got me thinking again, and thats not good for my wallet.
Its a ton of parts, but mostly bolt on stuff EXECPT! The center carrier bearing on the drive shaft... no bolt holes there or for the diff... but if you have a drill and a welder, you'll be set.

Shady.. I had a question about the steering linkage..... I got the flats lined up, and I've played with it quite a few times.... If the flats are lined up, the bolt will reach with careful "convencing" but the steering wheel is WAY off.... The other way it to line up one flat and just kinda jam it on where the wheel lines up. Issue with that is A its kinda unsafe and B my bolt kept getting loose on the link, very scary when your driving. Anyway is there any correction for this that I'm missing or do I need an alignment? I would think that it should just line up and be happy:-\

Yeah, I'd like to see too... I did quite a bit of bashing but my tires were slightly larger........ Dont forget that top bolt on the mudflap, as Rick found out, it gets real hot rubbing on the tires.

SPFI block w/ turbo heads q/a
Roni has steves(x35s) old car... Its running its high comp turbo up here in CO and DAMN!!! that thing is FAST.... it hauls... and its running stock boost. future plans are the spider intake and a fancy WRX type RA intercooler.... Noss (blownbimer) has also nuked his wagon and the current plans are to build one of these engines.... I just "happen" to have both an SPFI and Turbo motor in my back yard.

My latest upgrade!
HEY!! I have that same hammer. Nice work... wheres mine?

Your fender cutting solution? pic's if possible please
I did more bashing and less trimming.. the only trimming I did was that so when I bashed it would bend more right. On my drivers side I had some rust so the aplication of the 10 lbs sledge kinda made that rubbing issue go away. I HAD to lose the front mud flaps, but I still have my rears. I beat the metal under the top of the rears down and lost the top bolt.

Calculations for oversized tires
Ok guys, not to have you rehash this, but I'm still corn-fused. See for my brain to work I think that the spedo sees RPMs and Vehicle speed=tire circumfrence * tire RPMS.... I dont see how its variable at all.... Mostly because I did electric R/C car carpet racing and since its one speed and the engine has a max RPM you had to calculate its "roll-out" which was dependant on tire size. Personally I'm hoping that you guys (the majority it seems) are right, if my car is 12% off, I can do more like calculate gas milage and my wagon probably still has the same top speed. I just dont see how the error can increase, especially that much. I just dont get it.

AA stuff+Liberators=issues
DAMN!!!!! I still need a 5th wheel!! ARG!

AA stuff+Liberators=issues
I guess I dont turn that hard.... The lift factor of my wagon causes me to just kinda edge it around corners.. I always feel Like I'm gonna "Ford Explorer" it when ever I turn so I really slow down..... How would it move that way even though? I would assume that every things bolted down good, it cant really move at all.

Denver Junkyard Run
Noss has a good point. We can kinda all meet up where ever... I want to leave my house at about 9am..... its take somewhere between 20-30 minutes to PNS..... Depending on their bussiness I usually park in the lots space closest to the east (first part you drive by behind the sign) and I'll be taking my lifted wagon and some tools... BTW Noss I'm gonna need my 36 mm for this adventure. Anyhoo... after we all meet up Id say 9:35-9:40ish out in front of PNS.... we'll hit there, go to action down off tower then western on federal then you can either follow me back to my place for a cookout and axle jobs on both pats sedan and my wagon or you can run off and be antisocial:-p I know theres another thread with eyesore going wheelin, but that just depends on what time hes doing that. If you need directions to my place, mail me kingbobdole (at) hotmail (dot) com or just PM me, I'll be back on later tonight, and sat and whatever. I live basically at 10 and 287 just north of I-36.
