I took my legacy to the automatic car wash the other day and they sprayed some sort of clear coat /wax on my car and windows. It was like tie die foam. It was pink, blue and green. Ever since then my window looks like it has grease on it. Rain just beads up on my glass, the wipers just smear the water, and the wiper fluid does squat! Anybody have an idea how to get my windows super clean? I tired windex.....NADA! Think "purple stuff" degreaser would do the trick?

The water pump is pretty cheap....taking off the crank pulley, belts, timing belt cover, timing belt, timing belt tensionser, and the water pump can be time consuming. While you have the belt off: Change the timing belt new o-ring, rear seal and crank seal, and tighten the screws on the back of the oil pump. Water pump too. If you change the water pump yourself be sure to burp the sh1t out of the cooling system to ensure you don't get air pockets and cook your engine. It's real easy to do.

I might try to make this once a month. Maybe like a car club. But none of those stupide fees, or manditory meeting. Basically a bunch of guy coming together for the love of the car. I am going to make a new post with some pics of todays events. I want to Thank Mike and Eric for coming out today....and that other guy with the blue wagon (whoever you are) Hope you get the legacy up to par Mike. I had a blast guys. I hope we can all get together again sometime soon.

Is this your brat?
coloradosubarules replied to coloradosubarules's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
I googled "subaru brat" and I was looking at some websites and came arcoss that picture. I like the scoop....sorta. -
I remember when people were going to the local electric store and getting 1 farad caps. I saw a guy blow his finger off when his wedding ring bridged the connectors. That was some messed up sheeot. The 10 farrad cap looks like a big shiny box with a voltage display on top. They tend to be a bit pricey.

Check Ebay for wheels. Just remember that the STi and SVT wheels will NOT fit on the legacys. Pretty much all other newer roo wheels will fit. Your legacy will take 5x100 wheel pattern. Check the offset. Josh knows the answer. You live in ColoROOdo...Every other car is a Subaru. I miss colorado (as a tear rolls down my face). Someday I am moving back to Lakewood....someday.

I'm pretty sure the amp was made in japan. I don't really know if the car was made in USA but I would have to do some research on that. I'm not selling my car. I am actually buying one just like it from a local bail bondsman. It has 158K on it and it has the 5MT and some SWEET 17" Niche Rims with low pros. It is white and gorgeous. I will be taking some pics of my current car and my future car in the near future. Sorry to hear about you loss though.

You can buy my 1990 legacy wagon (no air suspension) for $1K. That should fill the void. It has a ton of new parts, (2) TV's, (2) 12" woofers, huge amp, JVC CD/MP3 head unit with remote, DVD player.... Well worth the asking price. Oh yeah.....less than 5K on the tires. Don't forget about those bling bling hubcaps too.

I would invite the owners of newer roos but the parking lot would be full of old people with their outbacks. I never see a roo with someone less than 50 years old in it. I pull up next to them so they can see thier cars fasha (goldmember saying father) but they are either too blind to notice the car next to them or they think it is some yugo statiion wagon. I saw a guy in a Baja the other day on the highway so I pulled up next to him, he looked over and he knew what I was driving and then gave me a thumbs up and waved. Then I mashed the gas, saw the "power" and I was gooone. WE NEED MORE OLD SCHOOL ROOS!!
