  1. what up bro!i hate running troubles, i have scrapped cars because of it! i think, THINK that hose is a vacuum actuator hose for the vent setup on the hvac.THINK i said:grin:.....pretty sure though.almost every car i have ever had with that hose , i plugged into vacuum.pretty sure , but not a 100 %... hope all is well besides this , cheers, brian
  2. i am speaking of a 5spd behind an ej205, with 227hp stock(just what i read, not what i claim).if the starter spacing is the only problem with using an ej flywheel, i may try to figure that out......because all of this is lames..... it just gets me ya'know.no one knows what a wrx clutch is going to do behind an xt6 pressure plate.but they want to theorize, it won't work, it won't work. well ************ , on paper communism is perfect. cheers, brian
  3. yeps.....gonna have a microwave too.... :lol:bring your burritos!cheers, brian
  4. i do not know if the xt6 pressure plate will work or not......but it is one of the things i will try when it comes to putting the trans in..... i just wanted this to be solved already.and when i read everything thus far , i was dissapointed...... another reason to go to an automatic...i guess... i started looking into this about a month ago again.as i finally had all the parts to do it.well, kinda.and was down to fingering out what i needed to do. everyone here is giving good advice.but still none have the experience specifically of what we are speaking about.which sucks...... who's gonna do it first?:lol:regardless , we all need to find a remedy that we like....and can afford......i wanted one of those ej d/r 's from oz.... but that boat did not float..... cheers, brian
  5. yep, its rogers now....you should check her out.she was sexy.cheers, brian
  6. you guys can "if" all you want.not a one has the ************in experience.........:lol:kills me...cheers, brian
  7. thats unfortunate...... anyway, so, i helped my brother move today, and was gone all day.so when i got home i figured out what i was going to do to mount the upper ball joint... then started thinkin about food shortly after...and that is where i am at... i am hoping to be throwing the front together by this weekend.....i am excited to see what comes of it.. cheers, brian
  8. i knew YOU would like it...you gotta do about the same thing...... and i wish that was shine.shine is my favorite.can't find any here:mad:well, anymore:lol:.... cheers, brian
  9. it all started with this...i have been gathering brackets and tabs and such for a while to be able to just fabricate wheneer i have time to do so.... then it grew.... and some more... until it all of sudden was a mount for a balljoint on the topside! cheers, brain:grin:
  10. its not that it can't be done, its just spendy to do properly.cheers, brian
  11. ZZZZZZZZIIIIINNNGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!thats eggzachary right !it does depend on offset.i wasna tryin to be a wongleflute before, just to let you know.i was just joshin.....there are solutions around, that have been accomplished for yrs now......but suggest you post your findings from your particular offset and tires and then PM me with it and i will get it put in the outback FAQ that i will be writing.....cheers, brian
  12. you can use a wrx clutch disc........with an xt6 pressure plate.cheers, brian
  13. 1/4"!!!thats alot!you know, you would not have been able to fit the 75 series anyway without spacers. oh yeah, spacers.and if you worry about the strength of spacers, i know toyota trucks that are running 36" tires with 1" aluminum spacers beatin the livin hell out of them....... i also know a couple of soobs doin it.. i personally would not worry about it to much.it is one of those things we have to deal with.cheers, brian
  14. your a stout guy, they are small cars.i do not see any probs. buildin another strip runner huh?:grin:nice . did you see the last one i did?it lives next door now.cheers, brian
  15. kennys car is well done....nice score....cheers, brian
  16. yeah its ballistic.....i love there stuff.i'll post a pic of size comparison later..... anyways, the list is modified from the front page again,,,,,so.... 87 hatch custom suspension zookie t-case some other stuff........ cheers, brian
  17. i have run with both.on the same car,a couple of different times. i used a transfer punch the same size as the rim hole, while it was partially bolted to the hub with the two studs...... that was good enough for 85 down the backside of snoqaulmie several times fully loaded.....and everywhere else that i went. i also redrilled a couple of rims to use on the front.those were less than exact, and i still never had any issues. as far as safety is concerned.i have seen some hack jobs on this mod.and noone has ever wrecked from it.i know folks that have ran 33" tires on cast drilled hubs and beat the piss out of it.they are plenty strong enough.it has been proven. 35/64ths is the proper size drill bit, use a ton of lubrication when doing this, and go slow on the rpm's if your press is adjustable...... i had my setup on 2 different rigs and never had any issues....... ima try to find one of the brat as well....
  18. thats so perdy......cheers, brian
  19. your late......cheers, brian
  20. THIS IS NOT A DISCUSSION THREAD> THIS IS FOR ADDITIONS TO THE FAQ!!!!!!! go start another thread if you wish.or search, that always helps......

  22. just bob the back......all you have to do is deal with sparre tire well, big deal... whats the wheelbase?i never measured any of my legacies....cheers, brian
  23. moving the trans and engine back is a good idear....i will also be cutting the front off of that car....kinda...actually, i should be starting tomorrow..:grin:but if you find that moving the trans tunnel is to much fo ryou , you can always move the wheels a tad bit forward and get a great approach angle... cheer, brian
  24. just think of it as following the existing frame rails.this will give you something to mount shocks off of, and your engine, in stock height.like this , if you will.... cheers, rbain
  25. ************ you Will,i mean jeff................cheers, brain
