  1. I never had many problems with the disty on the EA-82 but the air cleaner always managed to pick up water definatly check that out, i almost got stuck in a big mud pit because of a wet air cleaner, but i got out, with the stock wheels and tires and showed the big truck with 35's in front of me what subies are made of
  2. I had a problem like that try pulling out the 4 speed switch a little and shimming it with paper, thats what i had to do to get mine working
  3. That is too awesome, and my new wall paper, i am so impressed with you guys who went, it is sure proof of the rig's quality in modifications and expert driving, and of course guiding the driver along the rocks. there's a reason why you guys are the god fathers of the board, much respect and admiration heading your way. that picture just blows me away, Congratulations, and i guess the only reason its never been done in a subaru before is because you guys hadn't done it yet. dang i'm jealous. my rig pales by comparison.
  4. There may be a portion on the manifold that hits the disty, part of a tab for a hold down, that can be completely removed, the biggest problem is clearancing out between the alt. bracket and the manifold, you can take a little off the manifold, its easier being aluminum but the safer bet is to grind down the bracket.
  5. So i spent three days in forsythe montana because a pully on the timing belt fell apart, after waiting for three days for parts the car was fixed in 20 minutes, i'm home now, finally. i still have 100% faith in the subaru, i just think that the engine may be sick, and in true subaru form it should fix it self within the week.
