http://www.katu.com/ The main video feed on this page has a maroon 2nd gen Brat going through a puddle and the news man stated (look, this car is trying to make it through, and almost does not make it, To drive anywhere you need a major 4x4 to navigate the flood waters) I saw the Brat doing just fine in the background. Brats in the news are cool

Ok after the adjuster received the fabulous quote from Richie's shop about what he thought the car was worth, His insurance guru's said the total value of the car was 3,375.50 I was shocked because I paid only 1,200 for it. the buy out cost was 300.00 and they made me pay taxes because it was not yet titled in my name yet, oregon vs. washington tax of some sort. Well I still walked away with a check for 2790.00 Just thought you guys would like to know -

wow that's high but sounds like you have a lot of work needed to be done, mine is mainly cosmetic ....I hope. And yes I have been thinking of rallying the car, I have seen Qman rally his and it was really cool and looked good with all the wrx's out on the track. -

Loyale 2.7 Turbo the car is pearl white by the way, I know the pic's do not show this. The autobody shop said the repair would be 4400.00 . For a bumper tail lights, and a trunk, ok yes there is a ripple in the quarter panel but it gives it character right. the frame may be bent I will not know until I'm well (not sore from injuries) enough to start taking it apart. The only major thing I feel that the parts I get more likely will be another color and my beautiful pearl white car will be not so pretty. I know I will need to repaint and not with spray paint like my Brat, it would need to be done right,............but then again if I start to rally it, who cares what color it is. -

Well here is the update and yes the one at richies shop the pearl white is the car. The insurance is taking it as a total loss they told me that the est. to fix is $4400 The car took it pretty good, The bumper, tail lights, and trunk need replaced and yes the drivers side rear quarter panel is rippled. but the drivability of the car is 100%. I think they totaled it because they could not find parts. skishop69 I can use parts bumper tail lights trunk lid oh all most forgot I need a new drivers seat mine broke during the crash. The doctor says after my X-ray that my neck is crooked now. he is trying to put it back into place, but that is painful. If I ever figure out how to upload pics on this site I will show you guys the damage, But none of the pics I upload ever come in -
Yesterday driving home with my new XT6 1991 so nice so beautiful, had to slam on my brakes to avoid hitting the car (Blue subaru outback) in the rear. then looking in the rear view mirror to see a Big ford truck trying to stop, He stopped in my bumper. in that order. I was surprised that the car took such a blow and I was able to drive home, But he smashed my beauty. yes I did get hurt too in the wreck but not too bad I hope, I'll get checked out later today. But my car ............. I hope the auto body can do something, these cars aren't as common as neon's or bugs I can probably find parts better than they can. The damage is not too bad, but they car was perfect (in my mind) now it's not to bad. ....Still make a nice rally car... who needs a trunk anyway. you can always gain access to that extra storage through the back seat right?

I've seen this discussed here b4 and heard that they were junk and not to waste money on them. That was a few years ago. Now I came accrossed this news article stating that they are great! Has anyone out there used one of these and can verify the claims. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=50121

place me down for two as well. My Brat weeps in the rain, usually on me. -
Now I have seen the dual carb intake one time on a engine that was for sale unfortunate for me the guy did not just want to sell the intake unless I bought the whole engine, which at the time I could not afford. I believe you may find one on the gyro copter sites, (sorry do not remember which site it was) but they use subaru engines to fly those things. and I believe I have seen a dual carb intake there. Hope that helps

What is this? on the xt6.net site that person was also talking about these, but is kyb agx the brand name or the part number ? What is the advantage of these over impreza struts? Also note I am going to use this as dailly driver but every once in awhile I would like to rally it. I know Qman has a red xt6 and it looks like it is lifted what does he have on his ?
-
Ok Just bought a xt6 of of Craigslist in Ranier Or. $1200 beautiful pearl white good body (few dings) really light rust in places, 114k miles fully loaded. and 5spd. a really sweet car. The bad is that the air shocks in the front are out, After talking to Richie about replacing the air shocks with regular struts he quoted me 90-94 4wd legacy or impresa for the front. and for the rear xt 2wd or the 4wd sedan. What is the best conversion? Does anyone on the board have these? (what the price you are willing to sell them for?) Does anybody know a yard that has them? thanks for any input.

In my 80' Brat I have been thinking for a while to replace the seats with something that would give me some more leg room, Myself being just over six foot tall I am cramped in the cab. I also was looking for a good set of speakers so I can listen to tunes while I drive, I had some behind the seats but it made me even more compacted in the car. I saw on ebay some 89-97 Miata cloth seats /speakers in the head rests. This would save the problem for the speaker issue and the room for the speakers, but would these seats fit in my brat, and or are the tracks removable so I can place the Brat tracks on. Is there any suggestions you guys can give???

Samething happened to my Brat I just hard wired a fan switch into the cab, once I notice it getting past opp temp I flick the switch. everything works fine now.

miles and miles of subaru's you can't even touch, that are screamming Parts!!! Where do you live ..........HELL!!!!!! I think I've seen that yard with soob's only, but they never seem to have the parts I need, all the cars the new gen cars with fiberglass parts and plastic. Is there a list somewhere we could find, that lets us know if the yard lets you go in there or wait in the lobby. Insted of driving the distance to some out of the way place to find out they have no clue what you are talking about or have the correct part you looking for. And sometimes I have no clue myself what the part is by the name but I do by sight. How are these new jy helpping us here.

Josh, Does the turner yard still allow you to walk around in there?
