  8. I have an MY83 Wagon that has had the electric fan hard wired + - from the battery, to start with the ignitiion. The thermoswitch has a single pole and one wire. I want to re-wire it as original, I have search all over with no luck. Do I connect the Thermoswitch to + or - . Could someone please let me know how it is done ? I have a new switch from Subaru. ( and I know most will say leave it hard wired, but I don't want to, so don't tell me )
  9. Thanks for the reply, I can't find SeaFoam in Aus, so I will give this a go.
  10. I'm in Australia, and have been recommended Penray Super-x to clean out my old engine and fuel system ( stuff in the metal can ) this is supposed to be good stuff ( similar I think to SeaFoam ) It's a US company so I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with it ? http://www.penray.com/home.htm
  11. Well sorry But you didn't post twice
  12. Have you guy's/gal's seem this ? http://www.rigoliracing.com.au/brumby_dave.html http://www.rigoliracing.com.au/videos/495hp_Brumby.zip
  13. What is the best way to handle the fuel return on a Weber 32/36 ? Should it just be blocked off ? ( whats the best way ) or should it return somewhere ? Thanx

  15. You have a Brat and asking this question, go and measure it you lazy bastard !!!
  16. Manifold and Weber are on and fired first kick. There is a bit of hesitation. The air filter was black so I would say a clean is in order. I havn't heard of SeaFoam here, do you know who it's made by ? I have only seen the standard cans of carby cleaner.
  17. I was told it was all working fine when it came into my local Subaru Dealer. I will know tomorrow when the gaskets arrive. If not, I will be back here asking lots of questions
  18. The seller wants $150AU so that sounds ok. It's all mounted so it would save me a bit of work. Thanks for the quick reply Torxxx
  19. I know this is a US site and I am in Australia, but the subaru forums here arn't very active like this one (I spend most time on this forum now) and I really can't wait for days before I get a reply. Just a ball park figure would be great ! EA81 Manifold with a Weber 32/36 DGAV, Adaptor and Air Cleaner ? Thanx
  20. another question: Should I put the new gaskets on dry or is a selant the way to go ? And if so, is the RTV sealant I have any good ? Cheers EDIT: got the answer here : http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/showthread.php?t=32233
  21. Thanks guys, I thought of the gasket paper, but decided to order in the gaskets. They will be here tomorrow. Thanks again for the heads up, and the interesting cornflake box suggestion:) ps: we call an Xacto knife a Stanley knife. (Stanley sell all hardware gear here in Aus) The term Xacto is used here sometimes, so I did know what you meant
  22. To cut a long story short, I have a removed manifold off an EA81 that I need to put back on (only transport) the parts guy around the corner said he has the gaskets, but when I go around there, he can't find them And I am too far away from anything else. The question is can I use a silicone gasket ? I have some Blue XS RTV Silicone sitting here and contemplating using it. Would this be ok or will I need the gaskets. Thanx
  23. I have seen this somewhere on USMB, but for the life of me I can't find it again. I have searched "jet" "jets" "jet sizes" "weber jet's" etc etc If someone can give me the jet sizes required for a 32/36 weber on MY81 Wagon ( I think there was 3 sizes, Main/Air/Idle?) I would be very gratefull.
  24. I have removed the clutch components, should I also remove the flywheel ? That's the big cogged thingo isn't it ? (remember newbie here)
  25. Excellent replies guy's......the clutch is coming OUT I thought I might hang onto it as a spare, or sell seperate.
