  5. Thanks Bob, do you know the name of this shop ?
  6. I have no idea if the carb has been serviced, but it does have this orange sealer on two of the screws ! And the top gasket dosn't look too good. Looks like a re-build ? or will I try the top off clean, and new gasket ?
  7. Good Morning, I have just done an EA81 engine swap into my81 wagon and had problems with the carb. It was suggested on here to use some carb cleaner, and it worked ok for a couple of days. Now it's running rough again so I decided to give it another hit with the carb cleaner. I know you shouldn't spray around the carb with engine running ( have fire extinguisher handy ) but when I do the idle increases. Does this indicate a leak ? All feedback welcome :-\
  8. Sorry to hijack but also for the EA81 would be nice
  9. thanks a mill, worked like a charm. Thanks:)
  10. Is it possible to remove the steering lock (Ignition switch) from the column ? 2 screws are phillips head and the other 2 are blanks. Is there a way to remove them ? Many thanks
  11. I have about a drop a week seeping from the bottom corner of the head gasket. Is there a fix for such a small leak ?, or is it a whole gasket job ?

  18. Hi, Over the weekend with the help of my wife, swapped over MY81 EA81 to my wagon. Fired it up and it run great, drove for a mile or so, then took it out for another drive. But it just kept stalling, running really rough at idle now but seems ok when I give some gas. I checked everything again and noticed the feul filter not filling (only fills to the filter element). So I swapped over pump and filter setup from the donor, and the same thing. I'm sure I remember the filter always being full. Please can someone help us ? :-\
  19. Is there a guide on USMB ? Or a thread with one. I have been searching and hour, here and google. Anyone ?

  21. I have no idea why Subaru Australia named it after a wild horse ? (that's what a wild horse in Australia is called)They must of been after an Australian thing. When I'm looking for info, I aussie google Brumby and get all horse tihs edit: read last word backwards

  24. Thanks MilesFox I have had a few conflicting responses on 3 seperate Subaru Forums from members with alot of posts and alot of recommendations. 2 people say how they have done it numerous times, without any lift to the car and it's easy. And 2 now that say that it's not the way to go, it's a pain in the arse. :-\
