Well, I got front strut catriges for my 80 Gen1 brat and my mechanic put them in just fine. No problems from what I know.

My 82 brat hit its 100,000 miles the other day. The scary thing was I happen to be playing the Doors greatest hits and "The End" was playing when it hit over. I know that 100,000 isnt much but Im sure of things to come, problems that is. It was kind of starting to over heat tonight. Lets hope everything stays intack...

Whats the best way of getting rid of surface rust off a chrome bumper without damaging the chrome too much????

After putting in a new(used) gas tank on my 82 Brat, I can only fill it very, very slow or it overflows. I think it gets filled up in the hose that runs from the hole to the tank. Its the same hose that was there before the new tank and it filled up fine. Its been like this awhile and now that its f#@$ing cold outside its a little anoying that it takes me 5 min to put $10.00 worth of gas in. Anyone else have this promblem? What can be done?

YES!!!! You must keep it. Ive been driving my 82 brat while my 80 is in the shop. Well its done and Ill be getting it on Wed. I like my 82 but there somthing about a gen 1 brat. It just looks classic even though its part primer and bondo in spots and needs a new paint job. I cant wait to drive mine again. SOOOO, KEEP IT, KEEP IT, KEEP IT!!!! Just love them Gen 1sssssssssssss..... It looks fabulous.:wave:

I was thinking of doing it myself. Is the drain plug in the middle bottom of the front part of the trans. Ive seen a bolt there and it looks like a drain plug. I take it its as easy as changing your oil. Thanks...............

I went to a oil change place to get it done and they printed out a sheet with the lube specs to use. Well it read that my 82 brat man. trans used GL-5, 85W. They dont carry that. They do have GL-5, 80W or GL-5, 90. Can one of those be used???? Should I go some were else or bring them the gear oil I need. Any help would be apreciated. Thanks............

NICE WAGON!!!!!!!!! I have to agree with most of you guys here. I really like my 82 Brat but I LOVE my 80 Brat more. Its just that more vintage look of the gen1s with their round headlights and stuff. The problem is I have no horn. No sound, nothing. It dosent work. Couldnt find it under the hood niether. I think someone took them out when the converted the front end 82 DL Brat grill and lights to a 83 GL 4 headlight and grill. So my 82 brat looks like an 83. They must of yanked the horns and never bothered putting them back. Anyone have an extra so I can hook at least one up? Thanks for all your help guys..........

My horn dosent work in my 82 Brat. Never did scince I have had it. I know in my 80 Brat you can see the horn by the engine. My 82 dosent have this. Is it missing or am I not looking in the right place? Please help me find my horn. Ooh me so horny...

What weight and brand of gear oil should I use in my brats? Ones an 80 GL brat and the other an 82 DL brat.
