Well this baby needs work... Its lacking power. Did a full compression check and cylinder 1 and 3 are fine, 2 almost nothing and 4 nothing... Not very happy news.. Was told it ran fine when I bought it. Feeling a little dooped. :-\ Could be blown head or worn piston rings or leaking valve. Both plugs 3 and 4 were wet. I want to just bang my head right now!!! Im sure this is going to be a costly job!!!!!!!!:-\ Any suggestions..

Oh and btw if you paln on putting in the rear seats a custom way and you are not going to use the original rear seat bracket... Im interested in it if so...

That paint came out looking really nice. Nice and shinny. What did you use? I plan on doing the bed of my brat all in black. Want to know what type of paint and sprayer...

Thanks for the advice... Well Don... I havent tackled that yet, I have to many other issues first. Lack of power... Windsheild leaking... Clutch.... No plate lights(some rump roast clown cut the wires that lead to them)... ETC ETC... I will post as soon as I get to that.

I have a 79 brat with the dual headlight set up(one on each side). They only work on high beams but not low. Any suggestions???

No... not at all. There was a 79 wagon a few years back but that got sold to Moosens and ended up in CT. That was the only other one Ive seen since Ive been back here in FL for the last 5 years.

I remember hearing bout this oil and using it in my other brats a few years back. Both in the oil and gas tank. Didnt seem to harm any but does it really help??? Plan on using it in my brat when I get it next week and want to know if you guys still use this and if its worth using. Any input would be most appreciated.

If it will fit in my 79 brat(if all the a/c parts are compatible from an 81 with a 79 brat) I will love to have the parts. Is your 81 a dl with 1.6l or a gl with a 1.8l engine???
