  1. Yeah I know what you're saying. The car is actually located in New York, right outside NYC. I know it doesnt make much difference but I am waiting to see if he can take pictures of the car to make a final decision on whether to g up there or not.
  2. I found that last night, emailed him and he said that it had been sold. If it wasnt sold I wouldve bought it in a second.
  3. Looking on craigslist I found a 1988 GL Wagon 5 speed D/R. I emailed the guy says it runs well. He said he just drove it 3 hours to a skiing trip. He also told me that theres some rust on it but nothing to deter it from being inspected. He has no pics posted of it so I have no idea what it looks like and theres 120k miles on it. He wants $500
  4. The 2.5 GT is the car that I have. Go to my profile and look at the picture.
  5. Scranton, PA here..hour and a half away from philly
  6. This is the dealer's private junkyard. I think that they must buy the wrecked cars from the insurance company that were purchased from them new to reuse the parts on them.
  7. Nah I took those pictures today so they weren't open. As far as titles and price lists, I have no idea. There are alot of cars there that can be taken out of their and put back on the road with minimal work it seems.
  8. My buddy has actually bought a few cars out of this yard for real cheap.
  9. Thats what I was actually looking for. I found a few Loyale sedans, one GL sedan, the Loyale wagon that was there seemed to be in relatively good shape body wise...a few rust spots but nothing major. I saw a few SVX's and an XT6 in the mix..it was mostly legacy's snd outbacks, but there was a ************load of cars there. The whits outback sedan(SUS) in the pictures seemed to have a lift kit or something on it because it was definitely higher than stock and it only hasd 3500 miles on it and it was a 99.
  10. Well It's a lot that my local Subaru dealer owns that they must use for trade ins that wont sell on the lot that they sell to people that know about the yard and parts cars.
  11. Found 92 Loyale station wagon..5 speed, dents, dings all the normal stuff for an older loyale the owner said it was his daily driver before the head gasket went on it. He wants $325 for it. Would this be worth it? Ho much would a head gasket replacement be? Oh it has 155k miles.
  12. There were 2 88 Touring wagons for sale on ebay just last week. I out a bid in on them as they came as a pair. The one was grey with the 5 speed D/R and wagon wheels and the other was just a parts car that came along with the good one. The guy ended the auction early and slod the for $900. I think they were in Connecticut. I was ready to go up to $1000 for them but they guys sold em early.
  13. How hard and expensive would it be to sawp in a 5 speed tranny into a 98 2.5GT Automatic AWD??
  14. iTs a 1998..wanted the 5 speed tranny but this is the only 2.5 I could find in the area that was in this good shape. The previous owner lived about 20 miles from me and my impression is that he was an older gentleman. The maintenance history within the owners manual is meticulous!! Documentation of oil changes every 3k miles, Schedualed maintenance done when it was due, Timing belt, water pump etc all completed at 72k miles. I was told by the salesperson at Minooka Subaru(long time family friend) that the head gaskets were replaced before it was put on the lot. Its a limited so its got the leather, premium sound with little woofer under the driver seat to fill in the bass. My brother actually bought almost the same exact car because a man was trading his 97 2.5 GT in with 164k miles and my brother snatched it for a great deal..same color and everything.
  15. Oh yeah its defintely as good as I was hoping for. I absolutely love the car..94,000 miles on it..handles great in any weather..I can't say enough good things about it.
  16. I ws driving down the road today and the exhaust pipe broke loose right after the cat. Anyone know what can cause this?
  17. My father owned an 82 D/R GL wagon with the simulated wood on the side. I will try to find some pictures of it in out old photo albums. It was a tan color with the wood.
