  1. called the guy today he said 100 bucks takes it
  2. can you get body and engine parts for 80's ea81 subies?
  3. Yeah I almost had it, but Soobmaster beat me to it haha
  4. yeah i didnt see any bad areas underneath at all..just the areas on the body. I have to call them tomorrow and find out because noone was around today at the place. Im thinking about offering 100-200 bucks for it if I get the feeling he may not want to get rid of it. Hopefully he'll just say take it!
  5. Sorry about the double posting on this subject. My brother had to post these pics cause i didnt know how to haha and he just started a new thread. Think the rust and the collison is that bad on this? How much work you think it will be to get this thing goin? Only 74k miles!
  6. That would be great man I really appreciate that. haha the hatch hasnt been inspected since 2002
  7. Thanks for the input guys. Turns out that my girlfriends bros friends dad owns the place so it may work out well hehe. From what I saw the unibody and frame rails look OK. I need to check the strut mounts under the hood to see if there is rust or rot..hopefully not! Im definitely gonna start low on this because its just sitting there. Will I have any trouble finding the fenders for this vehicle?? There is rot rght at the corner of the pass. fender. The drivers fender looks to be dented from a collision but not too too bad.
  8. Found an 87 hatch GL 4wd in my town..looks like its been sitting for about 3 years or so. The tires are flat, fenders are rusted and rear quarters are kind of rusted. I am considering offering some money to the guy and taking it out of there to fixn it up a bit and use it for fun. There is only 74k miles on it and the paint is in pretty good shape. What do you guys think I should do? How much to offer??
  9. Anyone ever hook up an ea82 D/R tranny to an outback wagon? I mean by using the adapter plate from AA?? Im thinking of trying this and wondering how it worked ot and how hard it was to complete.
  10. geez i better get a hatch or wagon real quick haha
  11. Went up and looked at that brat..took it for a ride. Overall, it is in pretty good condition with only a few spots of surface rust, but no rot. It comes with jump seats, topper and another parts brat. The bed does not have any start of rust.He told me $2500.
  12. Well I was looking in the local clasifieds and came across an 86 Brat, which is rare in my area. It says it has 4 speed 4WD, many new parts, just passed insp. $2800. I think this is quite expensive what do you guys think?? He doesnt list the miles or condition either.
  13. Well Im looking for some advice on new tires for my 98 2.5 GT. Im looking for a good set thats good in the snow and rain, quiet on the highway and durable, also for a good price.
  14. Looking on Australian ebay I saw some Outbacks with a dual range lever like the old GL models had back in the 80's. I was curious as to why Subaru stopped putting the dual ranges in their vehicles
  15. Hey guys..I really want to go to Carlisle. I am trying to see if I am free that weekend.
  16. Yeah that blue wagon was my favorite I think. It was an '80 DL 4WD. The red wagon was an '82 GL 4WD. I am trying to find pictures of the two others we had.
  17. Sorry about the quality of the picture..its form 1986. As you can see, I developed a passion for Subarus at a young age.
  18. Yeah youre right...problem is hes 3 hours away. He does want $600 for it, so aia dont think it is worth that much.
  19. Oh sorry he wants $600 for it...would help if I told you that.
