Cool, thanks for the feed back. On this free engine, the guy seemed to be having more tranny problems then motor. He was going to work on it and fix it so he pulled the motor and tranny together. Then he checked things and determined that the passenger side had the start of a headgasket failure. Steam in the cylinders. No water in the oil. Then he got a new motor and tranny for $700. With a $100 core deposit. But it would cost him $300 to ship it, so he gave it to me.

I just picked up an other motor and auto for free out of a 97. Its a dohc. They said it was running but had some problems. Mostly tranny problems. Maybe a head gasket. I figured that ill pull the motor out of this car, do the head gasket on the 97 motor and put it in this car. Sounds like a good idea??

@ferp420, how much do you think those 15" pugs are in that area, if i remember right, you around that area from time to time. Are you coming by mariposa in the near future? If so we could maybe work something out. You should still have my phone number, yes? -

@ferp420, do you have any other rims you might want to trade that are not so wide. I have two sets. Im not planning on going any taller then 27" maybe 26" or so. I dont understand tire sizes so im trying to figure out what size it would be. -
So i have these rims that are 15in round by 9in wide. Im trying to find a tire size for those rims so i can do my 6 lug hub redrill. I have rear disc, 2in lift on the shock towers only (cross member stock) and im planning on trimming the fenders as needed. Definitely looking more aggressive all Terrains. As of now im still running 175/70/r13. Also i have the dual range 5 speed in this car if that makes any difference.

Ok, so im going to pick up this car tomorrow, got it down to $400. She was asking $700 for it. Whats the story with the 2.2 turbo? I checked on the wed site www.car-parts.com and they had some available for the 92 legacy (with vin 6 in the 6th digit) not sure what difference that makes. Just wondering if it would be worth going that way if im to swap the engine. Im in California also. So smogs a thing.

So im looking at buying a 99 outback ej25. The car for the most part is super clean 120,000 miles, auto trans. 80% tire tred. They sayed its a blown head gasket. There was no water in it. The oil level was high, no water that i could see in there either. I brought a good battery with me, and it will turn over but will not start or even fire. Its been sitting for what they said 6 mouths. They were asking $700 for it and as i was leaving they said that they could do $550. Thoughts anyone?

Ea82 91 front camber after 2" lift issues
nicksubaru replied to nicksubaru's topic in Old Gen.: 80's GL/DL/XT/Loyales...
That's kinda why i would like to have some kinda adjustable camber with the 2in space in there. I dont want to sit there and cut blocks after blocks. And as time goes by ill probably need it to change again. Just wondering if anyone else has already came up with any ideas on how to do this -

I have driven this car around. It has settled as much as its going to. I would rather not do cross member lowering for the same reason why most people don't. I like the clearance. I just want to get the camber right, before i do the 6 lug conversion to 15" rims.
