  1. you could go my route and bypass all the stock fuel injection stuff and tune it with a laptop
  2. umm no at least i didn't see any but hen again me and the wife left at around midnightish some little ***** was all tanked up and dancing around like a idiot and hitting people including my wife a few times in the backand another lady standing next to me. her "date" or whatever told dude to settle down and dude pretty much told him to go to hell.. so i was kinda waiting to play backup to the good guy i didn't know my wife got hit as well until afterwards... but before i left i made sure to find the 1.5-2 foot taller than me black guy in what looked like non costume marine gear <using it as a costume> who was i guess head of security... this was like a adult oriented tpe of halloween party some flashing and such a few non stripping during the tme i was there strippers dancing saw one guy o the stage insert 4 large hooks into his backand get hoisted up off the stage and swing him self around a bit some other guy got a piercing..don;t ask where and some girl got a nipple pierced it was not what it was hyped up to be in my opinion and as far as entertainment value not worth the addmission fee as far as me and my wife going out to do something then yes it was worth the money i doubt i will go next year
  3. so anyplans for bumper mounted full auto bb guns?? for those annoying people who cut you off? like say a small burst of bb fire to dimple the paint on somone trunk/ bumper? after all you guys are allied armaments and i have yet to see any suby weapons hehe on a side note why when i see the name allied armaments my mind translates that into armed marmots... wierd
  4. keep in mind i never read any further than page one so.... my.00000000002 cents on the issue it will certainly allow it to run but not very well especially on these motors it seems with the dual timing belts all it takes is for half the motor to run sorta well and that half will most likely be the drivers side with the disty and yes it will in fact affect compression

  6. yeah i think the motor from the rx thats in my garage was a jdm unit its got a bigger up pipe with a fitting below the turbo for either a secondary o2 or maybe a egt thing hmmm so that will certainly be swapped over to what ever i beg/steal/buy<haha>/build hmmm dunno how i could get to lynwood err well not so much get there as more to how to haul the darn thing home if i go that route i certainly could not put it in the "trunk" section of the wife's convertible lebaron gtc hah i supose i could design and weld up some kinda funky cargo rack to attach up under the rear bumper and comes up over the trunk lid and attaches inside the car with the top down ...
  7. well see since my fuel injection/ignition and such is not even remotly subaru i am not to concerned about if its right hand drive or things like that infact if it comes to it i only need the engine only no intake exhaust turbo injectors ect ect i just wanted to know what the general consensus people had in regards to what they spent versus what they got so far i think my curiosity has been answered

  13. i also realized last night at work that i limped home on 2 cylinders .. with 0 oil psi and a turbo crap... i hope myexhasut gasses where not enough to spin it very much maybe i might have to expidite my garret turbo retrofit also..
  14. kinda easy to explain why ms can make the timing change with the stock disty it functions just the same as the original ecu controlled timing by advancing or delaying the time the coil fires by x amount of time/degree's hehe
  15. oh and yes it did have a tap/tick but it sounded more like the standard low oil psi lash adjuster sound it got me about half a block before the belt blew so it at least had the bearings oiled up by then and i run straight 30 plus marvel oil so i am hoping the fact the motor stayed pretty cold and my straight viscosity oil and my good looks and creeping home was enough to deter any bearing damage if not then.. well somehow i get to dig up the money to build a motor sooner than i wanted to
  16. haha thanks one and all for the used belt offer's but with my long nightime drive with no cell phone on a fairly empty road at night i am kinda paranoid about re-using t belts off another motor plus i hate not knowing what to expect as far as a failsafe thing goes .. well me getting off my lazy rump roast to hook up my oil psi gauge would have been a good start grrr as far as future failsafe goes i was thinking about the northwet oil psi switch but one step further see if i can get a bit of code changed in the megasquirt software that will accept a signal from a hobbs type pressure switch so anything blow say 1-2 psi for more than 5-10 seconds will kill the injection until restart
  17. define kit?? just belts ? or the idler's as well prolly be a while before i can fork up 75 had to use money from my house payment account to keep the toilet from going thru the floor .. plus the rx broke ect ect ect on my next check after i replace the mortgage money i might have enough for a candy bar lol
  18. the car keeps running even with the drivers side timing belt broken.. you know the one that normally drives the distributor if i used one.. oh and also that silly oil pump thingy grrrrr and since i had not gotten around to hooking up the oil psi gauge. i limped home at just a smidge above idle for about a block or two with 0 oil psi motor never got warm either it was just a quick milk run to the mini mart so i am hope when i get the money for new belts it will be ok i hope now i gotta drive the wife chrylser lebaron gtc convertible to work now the dam thing feels sluggish and heavy compared to the rx even with the big v6 in it <sigh> i guess.. there is a drawback to a do it yourself distributorless ignition system..
  19. heh i have no intention of doing it again lol the clutch is fairly new it came with the rx when i got it i just swapped my motor into the rx and a better flywheel i think the clutch was glazed over anyways from the crappy flywheek on the original rx motor its not so grabby now when i let it out but still locks up solid so i guess thats good lol it was eitehr use my rx or try to get the chevy long bed extended cab 2wd turbo diesel into the building not impossible but a big pita
  20. hmm 77 panel van.. on a rough guess i would say fully loaded close to umm 3500-4000 lbs best guess exciting day? i work nights all you people are sleeping when i am working lol had i still had my twagon running witht eh automatic i prolly woulda gone a bit farther my goal was to get it moved so i could get teh silly electric pallet jack thing under the box of dry ice pellets and then troubleshoot the forklift we had a bunch of dry ice to do in a pain in the rump roast type of cut tiny 4x4"ish inch 1 inch thick pieces that ahs to be sorted and then loaded into the baggin machine that only works for that cut of ice on the plus side i got to call the "boss" hahah lol roffle ect ect at about 1:30 am in the morning to tell him the forklift we lease but he is to cheap to pay for the service contract just went to hell and no place is open to get a battery dumb rump roast comes down to work at about 1:50 am just to look at the forklift in a confused manner and watch me pull out the old battery and then temporarily put mine in place .. wich meant i had to put my dam hard hat on when he showed up oh and btw i work for a company that actually is in teh billions type of range of finances but my "boss" likes to make his books look good so... monthly forklift maintenance ,,, pfft who needs it
  21. so last night at work the battery fried in the forklift... this said forklift has a specs tag that reads 11,010 lbs approximate weight for the entire thing the scale near work shows my rx weighing in at a miniscule 2500 lbs give or take a couple hundred nto sure how accurate the scale is so the forklift is dead and pretty much in the way of getting my job done i hooked up a chain to it drove the rx into the building <baja has been there> hooked it up to the rear of the rx took up the slack and in low 4 after getting some tension in the drivetrain i sidestepped the clutch ..... drug the forklift backwards about 20-25 feet all was going fairly well except i had one frnt wheel spining and one back wheel spinning some slip on smooth concrete is good ... but then i felt a sudden tug and the lsd in the rear locked up and well something had to slip now that i had pretty much full traction and the clutch started to slip it was then that i decided i should stop going forwards plus the building stank of clutch smell for about a hour afterwards so did i hurt the clutch? on my drive home it seems to be fine in fact better<go figure> doing a slow take off then getting on it when the turbo hits the front tires still light up and no sign of slipping in any of the gears oh and for the rest of my shift i threw the rx's batery in the forklift and took it out at the end of my shift leaving the day crew with a dead forklift until the "lack-of maintenance-man" gets around to going to get a new battery so.. what have you pulled with you suby? can you beat mine? ps anyone with alot of math skill have any idea how much hp it would take to move a 2500ish lb rx with a 11k lb forklift attached?
